నారదస్య తు తద్వాక్యం శ్రుత్వా వాక్యవిశారద:.

పూజయామాస ధర్మాత్మా సహశిష్యో మహాముని: ৷৷1.2.1৷৷

Translation

నారదస్య Narada's, తత్ వాక్యమ్ those words, శ్రుత్వా తు having heard, వాక్యవిశారద: proficient in (shastras which are in the form of) speech, ధర్మాత్మా righteous, మహాముని: distinguished sage, సహశిష్య: along with his disciples, పూజయామాస worshipped (praised) him.

On hearing the words of Narada the distinguished and righteous sage Valmiki, proficient in composing slokas worshipped him along with his disciples.
