nivṛttākāśaśayanāḥ puṣyanītā himāruṇāḥ.

śītā vṛddhatarāyāmāstriyāmā yānti sāmpratam৷৷3.16.12৷৷

Translation

sāmpratam at this time, nivṛttākāśaśayanāḥ sleep under the open sky, himāruṇāḥ reddened due to frost, śītāḥ cool, vṛddhatarāyāmāḥ nights are long, puṣyanītāḥ (the month of) Pushya approaching, triyāmāḥ night consisting of three yamas (yama = 3 hours approximately), yānti run into

At this time people do not sleep under the open sky. With the month of Pushya approaching, nights feel cool and look red due to frost. They prolong into three yamas.
