Tilaka and Bhusana take the passage rajyam avapsyati in the sense of “Bharata will acquire the kingship in due course after Rama’s tenure of a thousand years is over.” But this is not convincing for want of proof. Hence, the transfer of the right of sovereignty is not accepted. As Rama deserves the ancestral realm, he will never hand it over to Bharata even after a hundred years of his tenure.
