‘Sakrasya Putrah’: the son of Indra. The suggestion is, the son of Sakra had come to test the strength of Rama at the instance of Indra.

‘Namaskrtna dasarathaya’: At the time of running away he saluted Dasaratha. It suggests that the crow went back to Rama at the instance of Dasaratha. The figure of speech is ‘Uyatiraka’ alankara. This hints that giving shelter to the distressed was his tradition. Rama maintained his family tradition devotedly.

‘Maya srutam’: So have I heard. It means, you save me out of compassion.
