Ravana ready to depart to abduct Sita 3.35.15-34

Ravana asked the charioteer to get the vehicle ready in secrecy, because if he did it openly, the elderly people would try to prevent him.Ravana shone in the chariot like a cloud having streaks of lightning and perching on Balaka. Ravana was like the cloud, his ornaments were like lightning and the decorated chariot was like the balaka.
Ravana saw sages born from the fingernails of the creator, the sages born from the hair of Creator. The evidence for this is the Vedic statement, ye nakhaste vaikhanasah ye valaste valakhilyah.
