Real meaning of Ravana’s thoughts (commentators view) 3.48.0
Rama is god, having maya as his upadhi (adjunct) and so he has no limitations of mind. The Vedas state ‘na tasya karyam karanam ca vidyate’, he has neither a duty nor the instrument. With a sage who is the Lord of all seers, will you take our supplication to Lord Srirama saying ‘this fellow belongs to us’?
“There is none equal even to a finger of Srirama. Why? Rama is Srimannarayana himself that has taken the human form. He will come there by my good luck. You may approach your husband there.” Sita is a woman who has no equal to her in beauty and charm.
