Birth Stars of Rama and his Brothers 1.18.13-16

Bharata was born as the quarter of Visnu himself like Pancajanya possesses all the qualities of Visnu. This shows Bharata was the equal of Rama as both were born of the same measure of the payasa.
‘Sarpa’ means the star Aslesa and Kulira, Karkata. They were in an exalted position. The term Saumitri repeated twice indicates that Lakshmana and Satrughna were twins.
Dasaratha’s sons had qualities unique to each of them. They conducted themselves behoving their age. They were similar in their glow to prosthapada. Prosthapada, according to astronomy (jyotis sastra), has two stars, purvabadra and uttarabhadra and each of them is supposed to have two stars.
Taitreya also says, ‘the gods call the sons of Dasaratha prosthapada, the one in fourfold form.
