The question is, ‘when one depends on time of birth, Rama and Sita being avatars, how could they undergo misery in the absence of karma?’ Though in reality, they have no misery affecting them, since they are in the world there are limitations imposed to prevent them from being supra human beings. They pretended themselves to be like human beings and they acted as if they show beaming face or otherwise at the time of joy and misery. Even Hanuman, the demigod, disillusioned by Maya, could see the acting of the avatars, which made Hanuman, on that account, feel miserable for the plight (of Rama and Sita). As Hanuman gets disillusioned about his extraordinary prowess, while no one told him so also even these two avatars remain as ordinary human beings for him. But later on, due to the desire of the Lord himself, he discovers in them the form of avatars;
