The intellect (buddhi) is decisive and firm in contrast to the mind. Sita thinks that if the mind alone functions and everything else is superimposed it may not be correct. The truth about the mental faculty is that it cannot create a true form, which can be seen. An image imagined in the mind fades away but what is cognized in the sight range remains unaltered. The conclusion therefore is that what I see (Hanuman) is true.’
Sita offers salutations to Agni because he is the presiding deity of speech wishing that all that has been spoken by Hanuman should come true.
