It is to be concluded that, ‘Ravana would have perished even at her touch but for the power he acquired by means of penance. Hanuman says that he alone could win the enemy and take away Sita but he would not do without the permission of his master’.

Hanuman says that ‘if Ravana cannot be killed by means of a curse and with all the arms at the disposal of vanaras then he deserves not a curse by means of mere penance. But he is almost dead by seizure of Sita. (nimittamatram ramastu).The idea is Ravana can be killed even by vanaras’.
