ಅಥ then, ಕೃತಾತಿಥ್ಯಃ on receiving hospitality, ಸಃ ರಾಮಸ್ತು that Rama also, ಸೂರ್ಯಸ್ಯೋದಯನಂ ಪ್ರತಿ at the time of sunrise, ಸರ್ವಾನ್ all, ಮುನೀನ್ sages, ಆಮ್ನತ್ಱ್ಯ took leave, ವನಮೇವ into the forest, ಅನ್ವಗಾಹತ entered deep.
After receiving hospitality from the sages, Rama took of all of them at sunrise and entered deep into the forest.

ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣಾನುಗತಃ followed by Lakshmana, ರಾಮಃ Rama, ನಾನಾಮೃಗಗಣಾಕೀರ್ಣಮ್ filled with different kinds of animals, ಋಕ್ಷಶಾರ್ದೂಲಸೇವಿತಮ್ inhabited by bears and tigers, ಧ್ವಸ್ತವೃಕ್ಷಲತಾಗುಲ್ಮಮ್ a place where trees, creepers and bushes were crushed (due to frequent visit by demons), ದುರ್ದಶ difficult to see, ಸಲಿಲಾಶಯಮ್ water-reservoirs like wells, ನಿಷ್ಕೂಜನಾನಾಶಕುನಿ with the twitter of various birds, ಝಿಲ್ಲಿಕಾಗಣನಾದಿತಮ್ resounding with the chirping of crickets. ವನಮಧ್ಯಮ್ midst of the forest, ದದರ್ಶ ಹ witnessed.
With Lakshmana following, Rama went through the forest, filled with herds of animals and inhabited by bears and tigers. It was a place where trees, creepers and bushes were crushed (by frequent visits of demons). It was difficult to locate a water source. And it resounded with the chirping of various birds and insects (crickets).
ಸೀತಯಾ ಸಹ ಕಾಕುತ್ಸ್ಥಸ್ತಸ್ಮಿನಘೋರಮೃಗಾಯುತೇ.

ಸೀತಯಾ ಸಹ along with Sita, ಕಾಕುತ್ಸ್ಥಃ Rama of the Kakutstha family, ಘೋರಮೃಗಾಯುತೇ infested with dreadful animals, ತಸ್ಮಿನ್ in that place, ಗಿರಿಶೃಙ್ಗಾಭಮ್ comparable to the peak of a mountain, ಮಹಾಸ್ವನಮ್ heavy sound, ಪುರುಷಾದಮ್ a cannibal, ದದರ್ಶ saw.
While Rama along with Sita was wandering in the forest infested with dreadful animals, he saw a roaring cannibal resembling the peak of a mountain.

ಗಮ್ಭೀರಾಕ್ಷಮ್ deep-eyed, ಮಹಾವಕ್ತ್ರಮ್ with a large face, ವಿಕಟಮ್ of dreadful appearance, ವಿಷಮೋದರಮ್ with a huge belly, ಬೀಭತ್ಸಮ್ loathsome, ವಿಷಮಮ್ crude, ದೀರ್ಘಮ್ tall, ವಿಕೃತಮ್ ugly, ಘೋರದರ್ಶನಮ್ of frightful appearance.
He was of dreadful appearance with deep eyes, a huge face and a big belly. He looked tall, ugly and frightening.
ವಸಾನಂ ಚರ್ಮ ವೈಯಾಘ್ರಂ ವಸಾರ್ದ್ರಂ ರುಧಿರೋಕ್ಷಿತಮ್.

ವೈಯಾಘ್ರಮ್ tiger's, ಚರ್ಮ skin, ವಸಾನಮ್ wore, ವಸಾರ್ದ್ರಮ್ wet with marrow, ರುಧಿರೋಕ್ಷಿತಮ್ drenched with blood, ಸರ್ವಭೂತಾನಾಮ್ of all beings, ತ್ರಾಸನಮ್ causing terror, ವ್ಯಾದಿತಾಸ್ಯಮ್ with wide open mouth, ಅನ್ತಕಮ್ ಇವ like the god of death.
Wearing a tiger-skin, he resembled the god of death. With a wide, open mouth, wet with marrow and drenched with blood, he struck terror into all beings.
ತ್ರೀನ್ಸಿಮ್ಹಾನ್ಶ್ಚತುರೋ ವ್ಯಾಘ್ರಾನ್ದ್ವೌ ವೃಕೌ ಪೃಷತಾನ್ದಶ.

ತ್ರೀನ್ three, ಸಿಂಹಾನ್ lions, ಚತುರಃ four, ವ್ಯಾಘ್ರಾನ್ tigers, ದ್ವೌ two, ವೃಕೌ wolves, ದಶ ten, ಪೃಷತಾನ್ deer, ಸವಿಷಾಣಮ್ along with the tusk of an elephant, ವಸಾದಿಗ್ಧಮ್ wet with the fat of flesh, ಮಹತ್ great, ಗಜಸ್ಯ ಶಿರಃ elephant's head, ಆಯಸೇ on an iron, ಶೂಲೇ spoke, ಅವಸಜ್ಯ having pierced, ಮಹಾಸ್ವನಮ್ shouting loudly, ವಿನದನ್ತಮ್ while he produced.
Roaring loudly, he carried an iron spit in which were pierced three lions, four tigers, two wolves, ten deer and the huge head of an elephant with its tusks smeared with the fat of flesh.
ಸ ರಾಮಂ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣಂ ಚೈವ ಸೀತಾಂ ದೃಷ್ಟ್ವಾ ಚ ಮೈಥಿಲೀಮ್.
ಅಭ್ಯಧಾವತ್ಸುಸಙ್ಕೃದ್ಧಃ ಪ್ರಜಾಃ ಕಾಲ ಇವಾನ್ತಕಃ৷৷3.2.8৷৷

ಸಃ that, ರಾಮಮ್ Rama, ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣಂ ಚ and Lakshmana, ಮೈಥಿಲೀಮ್ princess of Mithila, ಸೀತಾಂ ಚ and to Sita, ದೃಷ್ಟ್ವಾ seeing ಸುಸಙ್ಕೃದ್ಧಃ he was with anger, ಅನ್ತಕಃ god of death, ಕಾಲಃ Yama, ಪ್ರಜಾಃ ಇವ like the people, ಅಭ್ಯಧಾವತ್ ran towards.
Looking extremely furious, he ran towards Rama, Lakshmana and Sita like the god of death rushes towards the (dying) people.
ಸ ಕೃತ್ವಾ ಭೈರವಂ ನಾದಂ ಚಾಲಯನ್ನಿವ ಮೇದಿನೀಮ್.
ಅಙ್ಕೇನಾದಾಯ ವೈದೇಹೀಮಪಕ್ರಮ್ಯ ತತೋಬ್ರವೀತ್৷৷3.2.9৷৷

ತತಃ then, ಸಃ that demon, ಮೇದಿನೀಮ್ earth, ಚಾಲಯನ್ನಿವ as if shaking, ಭೈರವಮ್ dreadful, ನಾದಮ್ sound, ಕೃತ್ವಾ after producing, ವೈದೇಹೀಮ್ Sita, ಅಙ್ಕೇನ in his lap, ಆದಾಯ taking, ಅಪಕ್ರಮ್ಯ after moving aside, ಅಬ್ರವೀತ್ said.
Making a dreadful sound, as if shaking the earth, he took Sita on his lap, stepped aside and said:
ಯುವಾಂ ಜಟಾಚೀರಧರೌ ಸಭಾರ್ಯೌ ಕ್ಷೀಣಜೀವಿತೌ.
ಪ್ರವಿಷ್ಟೌ ದಣ್ಡಕಾರಣ್ಯಂ ಶರಚಾಪಾಸಿಧಾರಿಣೌ৷৷3.2.10৷৷
ಪ್ರವಿಷ್ಟೌ ದಣ್ಡಕಾರಣ್ಯಂ ಶರಚಾಪಾಸಿಧಾರಿಣೌ৷৷3.2.10৷৷
ಜಟಾಚೀರಧರೌ both of you clad in bark and with matted hair, ಕ್ಷೀಣಜೀವಿತೌ both with shortened life, ಯುವಾಮ್ both of you, ಸಭಾರ್ಯೌ with your wife, ಶರಚಾಪಾಸಿಧಾರಿಣೌ holding bows, arrows and swords, ದಣ್ಡಕಾರಣ್ಯಮ್ to Dandaka forest, ಪ್ರವಿಷ್ಟೌ entered into.
You both clad in bark and wearing matted hair, holding bows, arrows and swords have entered into the Dandaka forest with your wife. Your life has been cut short indeed৷৷
ಕಥಂ ತಾಪಸಯೋರ್ವಾಂ ಚ ವಾಸಃ ಪ್ರಮದಯಾ ಸಹ.
ಅಧರ್ಮಚಾರಿಣೌ ಪಾಪೌ ಕೌ ಯುವಾಂ ಮುನಿದೂಷಕೌ৷৷3.2.11৷৷

ತಾಪಸಯೋಃ you wear attire of ascetics, ವಾಮ್ you both, ವಾಸಃ stay, ಕಥಮ್ how is it possible, ಅಧರ್ಮಚರಿಣೌ both unrighteous people, ಮುನಿದೂಷಕೌ both distorting ascetic discipline, ಪಾಪೌ sinners, ಯುವಾಮ್ both , ಕೌ who are you?
How is it that you both, dressed in the robes of ascetics, live with a woman? Leading an unrighteous and sinful life, who are you who have brought disgrace to the ascetic discipline ?
ಅಹಂ ವನಮಿದಂ ದುರ್ಗಂ ವಿರಾಧೋ ನಾಮ ರಾಕ್ಷಸಃ.

ಅಹಮ್ I, ವಿರಾಧೋ ನಾಮ Viradha by name, ರಾಕ್ಷಸಃ demon, ಸಾಯುಧಃ ready with arms, ನಿತ್ಯಮ್ always, ಋಷಿಮಾಂಸಾನಿ flesh of ascetics, ಭಕ್ಷಯನ್ while eating, ದುರ್ಗಮ್ dense, ಇದಮ್ here, ವನಮ್ forest, ಚರಾಮಿ I wander.
I am a demon named Viradha. I move in this dense forest with my weapons eating the flesh of the sages.
ಇಯಂ ನಾರೀ ವರಾರೋಹಾ ಮಮ ಭಾರ್ಯಾ ಭವಿಷ್ಯತಿ.
ಯುವಯೋಃ ಪಾಪಯೋಶ್ಚಾಹಂ ಪಾಸ್ಯಾಮಿ ರುಧಿರಂ ಮೃಧೇ৷৷3.2.13৷৷
ಯುವಯೋಃ ಪಾಪಯೋಶ್ಚಾಹಂ ಪಾಸ್ಯಾಮಿ ರುಧಿರಂ ಮೃಧೇ৷৷3.2.13৷৷
ವರಾರೋಹಾ a beautiful woman (with fine hips), ಇಯಂ ನಾರೀ this woman, ಮಮ my, ಭಾರ್ಯಾ wife, ಭವಿಷ್ಯತಿ will be, ಅಹಮ್ I, ಮೃಧೇ in the fight, ಪಾಪಯೋಃ of both of you sinners, ಯುವಯೋಃ of you both, ರುಧಿರಮ್ blood, ಪಾಸ್ಯಾಮಿ I shall drink.
This woman of fine hips shall be my wife. You sinners! I shall drink the blood of both of you in the fight.
ತಸ್ಯೈವಂ ಬ್ರುವತೋ ದುಷ್ಟಂ ವಿರಾಧಸ್ಯ ದುರಾತ್ಮನಃ.
ಶ್ರುತ್ವಾ ಸಗರ್ವಿತಂ ವಾಕ್ಯಂ ಸಮ್ಭ್ರಾನ್ತಾ ಜನಕಾತ್ಮಜಾ৷৷3.2.14৷৷
ಶ್ರುತ್ವಾ ಸಗರ್ವಿತಂ ವಾಕ್ಯಂ ಸಮ್ಭ್ರಾನ್ತಾ ಜನಕಾತ್ಮಜಾ৷৷3.2.14৷৷
ಏವಮ್ in that way, ಬ್ರುವತಃ while he spoke, ದುರಾತ್ಮನಃ of that wicked, ತಸ್ಯ ವಿರಾಧಸ್ಯ that Viradha's, ಸಗರ್ವಿತಮ್ boastful, ಜನಕಾತ್ಮಜಾ daughter of Janaka, ದುಷ್ಟಮ್ cruel, ವಾಕ್ಯಮ್ statements, ಶ್ರುತ್ವಾ after hearing, ಸಮ್ಭ್ರಾನ್ತಾ bewildered out of fear.
Sita, daughter of Janaka was bewildered out of fear when she heard the cruel and boastful words of that wicked Viradha.
ಸೀತಾ ಪ್ರವೇಪತೋದ್ವೇಗಾತ್ ಪ್ರಾವಾತೇ ಕದಲೀ ಯಥಾ৷৷3.2.15৷৷
ತಾಂ ದೃಷ್ಟ್ವಾ ರಾಘವಃ ಸೀತಾಂ ವಿರಾಧಾಙ್ಕಗತಾಂ ಶುಭಾಮ್.
ಅಬ್ರವೀಲ್ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣಂ ವಾಕ್ಯಂ ಮುಖೇನ ಪರಿಶುಷ್ಯತಾ৷৷3.2.16৷৷
ತಾಂ ದೃಷ್ಟ್ವಾ ರಾಘವಃ ಸೀತಾಂ ವಿರಾಧಾಙ್ಕಗತಾಂ ಶುಭಾಮ್.
ಅಬ್ರವೀಲ್ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣಂ ವಾಕ್ಯಂ ಮುಖೇನ ಪರಿಶುಷ್ಯತಾ৷৷3.2.16৷৷
ಸೀತಾ Sita, ಉದ್ವೇಗಾತ್ due to anxiety, ಪ್ರವಾತೇ in strong wind, ಕದಲೀ ಯಥಾ like a plantain tree, ಪ್ರವೇಪಿತಾ was shaken, ರಾಘವಃ Rama, ವಿರಾಧಾಙ್ಕಗತಾಮ್ in the lap of Viradha, ಶುಭಾಮ್ Sita, the auspicious, ತಾಮ್ her, ದೃಷ್ಟ್ವಾ on seeing, ಪರಿಶುಷ್ಯತಾ with a parched(pale), ಮುಖೇನ with face, ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣಮ್ to Lakshmana, ವಾಕ್ಯಮ್ these words, ಅಬ್ರವೀತ್ said.
Seeing the auspicious Sita in the lap of Viradha shaken out of anxiety, like a plantain tree in a strong wind, Rama with his throat parched said to Lakshmana:
ಪಶ್ಯ ಸೌಮ್ಯ ನರೇನ್ದ್ರಸ್ಯ ಜನಕಸ್ಯಾತ್ಮಸಮ್ಭವಾಮ್.
ಮಮ ಭಾರ್ಯಾಂ ಶುಭಾಚಾರಾಂ ವಿರಾಧಾಙ್ಕೇ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿತಾಮ್৷৷3.2.17৷৷
ಅತ್ಯನ್ತಸುಖಸಂಮವದ್ಧಾಂ ರಾಜಪುತ್ರೀಂ ಯಶಸ್ವಿನೀಮ್.
ಮಮ ಭಾರ್ಯಾಂ ಶುಭಾಚಾರಾಂ ವಿರಾಧಾಙ್ಕೇ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿತಾಮ್৷৷3.2.17৷৷
ಅತ್ಯನ್ತಸುಖಸಂಮವದ್ಧಾಂ ರಾಜಪುತ್ರೀಂ ಯಶಸ್ವಿನೀಮ್.
ಸೌಮ್ಯ O gentle one, ನರೇನ್ದ್ರಸ್ಯ king's, ಜನಕಸ್ಯ Janaka's, ಆತ್ಮಸಮ್ಭವಾಮ್ daughter, born of his own self, ಮಮ ಭಾರ್ಯಾಮ್ my wife, ಶುಭಾಚಾರಾಮ್ of good conduct, ಅತ್ಯನ್ತಸುಖಸಂವೃದ್ಧಾಮ್ brought up in utmost comfort, ಯಶಸ್ವಿನೀಮ್ an illustrious one, ವಿರಾಧಾಙ್ಕೇ in the lap of Viradha, ಪ್ರವೇಶಿತಾಮ್ entered, ರಾಜಪುತ್ರೀಮ್ princess, ಪಶ್ಯ see.
Gentle Lakshmana, see the illustrious daughter ofJanaka, a lady of good conduct, brought up in utmost comfort caught in the lap of Viradha!
ಯದಭಿಪ್ರೇತಮಸ್ಮಾಸು ಪ್ರಿಯಂ ವರವೃತಂ ಚ ಯತ್৷৷3.2.18৷৷
ಕೈಕೇಯ್ಯಾಸ್ತು ಸುಸಂವೃತ್ತಂ ಕ್ಷಿಪ್ರಮದ್ಯೈವ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣ.
ಕೈಕೇಯ್ಯಾಸ್ತು ಸುಸಂವೃತ್ತಂ ಕ್ಷಿಪ್ರಮದ್ಯೈವ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣ.
ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣ O Lakshmana, ಅಸ್ಮಾಸು for us, ಯತ್ whatever, ಅಭಿಪ್ರೇತಮ್ desired, ಯತ್ that, ವರವೃತಂ ಚ those boons desired, ಕೈಕೇಯ್ಯಾಃ by Kaikeyi's, ಪ್ರಿಯಮ್ joy, ಅದ್ಯೈವ to day itself, ಕ್ಷಿಪ್ರಮ್ now itself, ಸುಸಂವೃತಮ್ attained well.
O Lakshmana! whatever Kaikeyi desired through her boons has now come true so soon.
ಯಾ ನ ತುಷ್ಯತಿ ರಾಜ್ಯೇನ ಪುತ್ರಾರ್ಥೇ ದೀರ್ಘದರ್ಶಿನೀ৷৷3.2.19৷৷

ದೀರ್ಘದರ್ಶಿನೀ far-sighted lady, ಯಾ such a lady as she is, ಪುತ್ರಾರ್ಥೇ for her son, ರಾಜ್ಯೇನ with kingdom, ನ ತುಷ್ಯತಿ not being contended, ಯಯಾ by whomsoever, ಸರ್ವಭೂತಾನಾಮ್ of all beings, ಪ್ರಿಯಃ dear, ಅಹಮ್ I, ವನಮ್ forest, ಪ್ರಸ್ಥಾಪಿತಃ is sent, ಯಾ whoever, ಮಮ my, ಮಧ್ಯಮಾ ಮಾತಾ middle mother, ಸಾ she, ಅದ್ಯ today, ಸಕಾಮಾ has her desire fulfilled.
Kaikeyi, my middle mother is far-sighted indeed ! Not content with the kingdom alone see sent me, beloved of all beings, away to the forest. Let her cherished desire be fulfilled.
ಪರಸ್ಪರ್ಶಾತ್ತು ವೈದೇಹ್ಯಾಃ ನ ದುಃಖತರಮಸ್ತಿಮೇ.
ಪಿತುರ್ವಿನಾಶಾತ್ಸೌಮಿತ್ರೇ ! ಸ್ವರಾಜ್ಯಹರಣಾತ್ತಥಾ৷৷3.2.21৷৷

ಸೌಮಿತ್ರೇ! O Lakshmana, ವೈದೇಹ್ಯಾಃ Sita's, ಪರಸ್ಪರ್ಶಾತ್ the touch of a man other man, ಪಿತುಃ father's, ವಿನಾಶಾತ್ more than demise, ತಥಾ in the same way, ಸ್ವರಾಜ್ಯಹರಣಾತ್ more than the the loss of my kingdom, ಮೇ to me, ದುಃಖತರಮ್ more painful, ನಾಸ್ತಿ is not.
O Lakshmana! nothing is more sorrowful to me than the touch of Vaidehi by another. It is more painful to me than the death of my father or loss of my kingdom.
ಇತಿ ಬ್ರುವತಿ ಕಾಕುತ್ಸ್ಥೇ ಬಾಷ್ಪಶೋಕಪರಿಪ್ಲುತೇ.

ಮಯಾ ಪ್ರೇಷ್ಯೇಣ ಕಾಕುತ್ಸ್ಥ! ಕಿಮರ್ಥಂ ಪರಿತಪ್ಯಸೇ৷৷3.2.23৷৷
ಮಯಾ ಪ್ರೇಷ್ಯೇಣ ಕಾಕುತ್ಸ್ಥ! ಕಿಮರ್ಥಂ ಪರಿತಪ್ಯಸೇ৷৷3.2.23৷৷
ಕಾಕುತ್ಸ್ಥ! O Rama!, ಭೂತಾನಾಮ್ of all beings, ನಾಥಃ lord, ವಾಸವೋಪಮಃ comparable to Indra, ತ್ವಮ್ you, ಅನಾಥಃ an orphan, ಇವ like, ಪ್ರೇಷ್ಯೇಣ by a servant (at your service), ಮಯಾ by myself, ಕಿಮರ್ಥಮ್ for what reason, ಪರಿತಪ್ಯಸೇ feeling sad.
O Rama, you are, like Indra, lord of all beings. What makes you feel sad like an orphan when I am at your service like a servant?
ಶರೇಣ ನಿಹತಸ್ಯಾದ್ಯ ಮಯಾ ಕ್ರುದ್ಧೇನ ರಕ್ಷಸಃ.
ವಿರಾಧಸ್ಯ ಗತಾಸೋರ್ಹಿ ಮಹೀ ಪಾಸ್ಯತಿ ಶೋಣಿತಮ್৷৷3.2.24৷৷

ಕ್ರುದ್ಧೇನ by an angry one, ಮಯಾ by me, ಅದ್ಯ now, ಶರೇಣ by the arrow, ನಿಹತಸ್ಯ killed, ಗತಾಸೋಃ of one who loses life, ರಕ್ಷಸಃ of this demon, ವಿರಾಧಸ್ಯ Viradha's, ಶೋಣಿತಮ್ blood, ಮಹೀ the earth, ಪಾಸ್ಯತಿ will drink.
The earth will drink the blood of Viradha with his life gone, slain by my angry arrow.
ರಾಜ್ಯಕಾಮೇ ಮಮ ಕ್ರೋಧೋ ಭರತೇ ಯೋ ಬಭೂವ ಹ.
ತಂ ವಿರಾಧೇ ಪ್ರಮೋಕ್ಷ್ಯಾಮಿ ವಜ್ರೀ ವಜ್ರಮಿವಾಚಲೇ৷৷3.2.25৷৷
ತಂ ವಿರಾಧೇ ಪ್ರಮೋಕ್ಷ್ಯಾಮಿ ವಜ್ರೀ ವಜ್ರಮಿವಾಚಲೇ৷৷3.2.25৷৷
ರಾಜ್ಯಕಾಮೇ one who was desirous of kingdom, ಭರತೇ on Bharata, ಮಮ my, ಯಃ whatever, ಕ್ರೋಧ: anger, ಬಭೂವ ಹ was felt, ತಮ್ that, ವಜ್ರೀ Indra, ವಜ್ರಮ್ thunderbolt, ಅಚಲೇ ಇವ at a mountain, ವಿರಾಧೇ on Viradha, ಪ್ರಮೋಕ್ಷ್ಯಾಮಿ I will release.
Like Indra who hits the mountain with his thunderbolt, I shall release on Viradha the anger I felt against Bharata for his passion for the kingdom.
ಮಮ ಭುಜಬಲವೇಗವೇಗಿತಃ ಪತತು ಶರೋಸ್ಯ ಮಹಾನ್ಮಹೋರಸಿ.
ವ್ಯಪನಯತು ತನೋಶ್ಚ ಜೀವಿತಂ ಪತತು ತತಸ್ಸಮಹೀಂ ವಿಘೂರ್ಣಿತಃ৷৷3.2.26৷৷

ಮಮ my, ಭುಜಬಲವೇಗವೇಗಿತಃ by the strength of my arms, ಮಹಾನ್ great, ಶರಃ arrow, ಅಸ್ಯ his, ಮಹೋರಸಿ in high speed, ಪತತು may fall, ತನೋಃ from the body, ಜೀವಿತಮ್ life, ವ್ಯಪನಯತು separate, ತತಃ then, ವಿಘೂರ್ಣಿತಃ reeling round and round, ಮಹೀಮ್ earth, ಪತತು may fall down.
Spurred by the speed of my strong arms, my arrow will fall on his broad chest and separate his life from his body. Then his body reeling round and round will fall on the ground.
ಇತ್ಯಾರ್ಷೇ ಶ್ರೀಮದ್ರಾಮಾಯಣೇ ವಾಲ್ಮೀಕೀಯ ಆದಿಕಾವ್ಯೇ ಅರಣ್ಯಕಾಣ್ಡೇ ದ್ವಿತೀಯಸ್ಸರ್ಗಃ৷৷
