[Vibheeshana offers gifts to all Vanaras. Sri Rama, Lakshmana and Sita depart to Ayodhya accompanied by Vibheeshana, Sugriva and Hanuman.]

upasathitaṅtutaṅkṛtavāpuṣapakaṅpuṣapabhūṣitama .

avidūrēsathitōrāmamitayuvācavibhīṣaṇaḥ ।।6.125.1।।


vibhīṣaṇaḥVibheeshana, puṣapabhūṣitama decorated with flowers, tama that, puṣapakama Pushpaka, upasathitama seated, kṛtavā having, avidūrē little distance, sathitaḥ stood, rāmama Rama, iti this, uvāca spoke

Offering to Sri Rama the Pushpak decorated with flowers to sit, Vibheeshana stood at a distance and spoke.
sa tubadadhāñajali: parahavōvinītōrākaṣasēśavaraḥ .

abaravītatavarayōpētaḥkiṅkarōmītirāghavama ।।6.125.2।।


saḥrākaṣasēśavaraḥ he, Rakshasa king, vinītaḥ humbly, badadhāñajaliparahava: saluting with folded palms, tavarayā quickly, upētaḥ approached, kima why, karōmi to be done, iti this, rāghavama to Raghava, abaravīta spoke

The Rakshasa king humbly offered salutation to Raghava with joined palms, quickly approached, and said, 'What is to be done'?
tamabaravīnamahātējālakaṣamaṇasayōpaśṛṇavataḥ .

vimṛśayarāghavōvākayamidaṅsanēhapurasakṛtama ।।6.125.3।।


mahātējāḥ highly brilliant, rāghavaḥ Raghava, vimṛśaya thinking, lakaṣamaṇasaya Lakshmana's, upaśṛṇavataḥ while listening closely, tama him, sanēhapurasakṛtama in friendly manner, idama this, uvāca spoke

Highly brilliant Raghava was thinking and spoke in a friendly manner while Lakshmana was listening closely.
kṛtaparayatanakaramāṇaḥsaravaēvavanēcarāḥ .

ratanairarathaiśacavividhaisasamapūjayanatāṅvibhīṣaṇa ।।6.125.4।।


vibhīṣaṇa Vibheeshana, kṛtaparayatanakaramāṇaḥ who fought making effort, saravē all, vanēcarāḥ forest rangers, ratanaiḥ with valuables, vividhaiḥ several, arathaiśaca and luxuries, samapūjayanatāma duly honoured

"Let all the forest rangers (without exception) who made effort and fought be duly honoured with valuables and several luxuries."
sahāmībhisatavayālaṅakānirajitārākaṣasēśavara .

hṛṣaṭaiḥparāṇabhayaṅtayakatavāsaṅagarāmēṣavanivaratibhiḥ ।।6.125.5।।


rākaṣasēśavara Rakshasa Lord, hṛṣaṭaiḥ delighted, parāṇabhayama fear of life, tayakatavā giving up, saṅagarāmēṣu in the combat, anivaratibhiḥ who never turned back, amībhiḥsaha with these heroes, tavayā by you, laṅakā Lanka, nirajitā could win

"This Lanka could be won with the help of these heroes who never turned back and fought in comb at without fear of life, O Lord of Rakshasas."
ta imēkṛtakaramāṇasasaravaēvavanaukasaḥ .

dhanaratanaparadānēnakaramaiṣāṅsaphalaṅkuru ।।6.125.6।।


tē you, imē these, vanaukasaḥ forest rangers, saravēēva all in that way, kṛtakaramāṇaḥ accomplishment, dhanaratanaparadānēna wealth and gems, ēṣāma such effort, karama deed, saphalama successful, kuru make it

"These forest rangers, all of them have struggled and accomplished success. Reward them with wealth and gems."
ēvaṅsamamānitāśacētēmānārahamānadātavayā .

bhaviṣayanatikṛtajañēnaniravṛtāhariyūthapāḥ ।।6.125.7।।


ānadā helpless, mānārahama who respects, ēvama that way, kṛtajañēna in gratitude, tavayā you, samamānitāḥ reward, ētē these, hariyūthapāḥ monkey troops niravṛtā contended, bhaviṣayanati will be

"These helpless monkey troops will be content with gratitude when rewarded, O respectable Vibheeshana."
tayāginaṅsaṅagarahītāraṅsānukarōśaṅjitēnadariyama .

saravētataḥavagacachanatisamabōdhayāmitē ।।6.125.8।।


tayāginama charitable, saṅagarahītārama not seizing, sānukarōśama compassionate, jitēnadariyama gained over senses, tavāma you, saravē all, avagacachanati telling you for so long, tataḥ then, tē you, samabōdhayāmi will call you

"If you do so you will be called as charitable and kind, not seizing wealth and as one who has gained over senses. That is why I am telling you for so long."
hīnaṅratiguṇaisasaravairabhihanatāramāhavē .

sēnātayajatisamaviganānṛpatiṅtaṅnarēśavarā ।।6.125.9।।


narēśavarā ruler of men, saravaiḥ all, ratiguṇaiḥ devoid of virtues, hīnama low, āhavē in battle, hanatārama destructor, taṅnṛpatima that king, sēnā army, tayajati will desert

"O Ruler of men, all the army will desert a king who is devoid of virtues, lowly and who is a destructor in the battlefield."
ēvamukatasaturāmēṇavānarāṅsatānavibhīṣaṇaḥ .

ratanārathasaṅvibhāgēnasaravānēvābhayapūjayata ।।6.125.10।।


rāmēṇa by Rama, ēvama in that way, ukataḥ spoken, vibhīṣaṇaḥ Vibheeshana, saravānēva all, tāna vānarāna those Vanaras, ratanārathasamavibhāgēna with gems, gold and valuables, abhayapūjayata honoured them very much

Vibheeshana honoured the Vanaras with gems and valuables, after Rama had spoken like that.
tatasatānapūjitānadṛṣaṭavāratanārathairahariyūthapāna .

ārurōhatadārāmasatadavimānamanutatamama ।।6.125.11।।


tataḥ then, ratanārathaiḥ with gems, tāna hariyūthapāna those monkey troops, pūjitāna offered prayers, dṛṣaṭavā seeing, rāmaḥ Rama, tadā then, anutatamama excellent, tata that, vimānama aerial car, ārurōha ascended

Then on seeing the monkey troops being honoured with excellent gemsRama ascended the aerial car.
aṅakēnādāyavaidēhīṅlajajamānāṅyaśasavinīma .

lakaṣamaṇēnasahabharātarāvikarānatēvadhanuṣamatā ।।6.125.12।।


lajajamānāma who was feeling abashed, yaśasavinīma illustrious, aṅakēna arms, ādāya taking, vikarānatēna valiant, dhanuṣamatā archer, bharātarā brother, lakaṣamaṇēnasaha with Lakshmana

Illustrious Sita who was feeling shy, seeing the monkeys and valiant archer Lakshmana took Sita in his arms to Pushpaka.
abaravītasavimānasathaḥpūjayanasaravāvānarāna .

sugarīvaṅ ca mahāvīrayaṅkākutasathasavibhīṣaṇama ।।6.125.13।।


saḥkākutasatha: that Kakuthsa, vimānasathaḥ in the aerial car, saravavānarāna all Vanaras, savibhīṣaṇama and Vibheeshana, mahāvīrayama highly courageous, sugarīvaṅ ca Sugriva also, pūjayana honoured, abaravīta spoke

After duly honouring all the Vanaras, to Vibheeshana and highly courageous Sugriva, Kakuthsa spoke as follows.
mitarakārayaṅkṛtamidaṅbhavadabhidavānararaṣabhāḥ .

anujañātāmayāsaravēyathēṣaṭaṅparatigacachata ।।6.125.14।।


vānararaṣabhāḥ bull among Vanaras, bhavadabhiḥ you also, idama this, mitarakārayama friend's work, kṛtama having done, saravē all, mayā my, anujañātāḥ per mission, yathēṣaṭama as you will, paratigacachata can go

"Bull among Vanaras! Since this work of the friend has been accomplished, you too have my permission to go where you will."
yatatukārayaṅvayasayēnasanigadhēna ca hitēna ca .

kṛtaṅsugarīvatatasaravaṅbhavatādharamabhīruṇā ।।6.125.15।।

kiṣakinadhāṅparatiyāhayāvusavasainayēnābhisamavṛtaḥ .


sugarīva Sugriva, sanigadhēna affectionate, hitēna ca What has to be done, vayasayēna advanced in age, yata tu all that, kārayama work, tata that, saravama everything, dharamabhīruṇā fear of unrighteousness, bhavatā by you, kṛtama done, āśu now, savasainayēna with your own army, abhisamavṛtaḥ surrounding you, kiṣakinadhāma to Kishkinda, yāhi can go

All that has to be done by an affectionate friend in advanced age has been done, for the fear of unrighteousness. Now you may advance with your army to Kishkinda.
savarājayēvasalaṅakāyāṅmayādatatēvibhīṣaṇa ।।6.125.16।।

na tavāṅdharaṣayituṅśakatāsasēnadarāapidivaukasaḥ .


vibhīṣaṇa Vibheeshana, laṅakāyāma in Lanka, mayā by me, datatē bestowed, savarājayē own kingdom, vasa living, nēnadarāḥ Indra, divaukasaḥapi gods in the heaven even, tavāma you, dharaṣayituma will not be able to attack, na śakatāḥ not possible

"Vibheeshana, I would like to see you living like Indra bestowed with your own kingdom in Lanka. It will not be possible for even gods to attack you."
yōdhayāṅparatiyāsayāmirājadhānīṅpituramama ।।6.125.17।।

abhayanujañātumicachāmisaravānāmanatarayāmivaḥ .


mamapituḥ my father's, rājadhānīma capital, ayōdhayāṅparati Lord of Ayodhya, yāsayāmi to proceed for me, abhayanujañātuma you need to permit, icachāmi I wish, vaḥ be auspicious, saravāna all, amaṅtarayāmi I take leave of

"I shall proceed to my father's capital, Ayodhya. You may permit me. Be auspicious. I take leave of you."
vamukatāsaturāmēṇaharīnadarāharayasatathā ।।6.125.18।।

ūcuḥparāñajalayasasaravērākaṣasaśacavibhīṣaṇaḥ .

After Rama had spoken that way Sugriva, Vibheeshana, monkeys and Rakshasas saluted Rama and said as follows.
ayōdhayāṅganatumicachāmaḥsaravananayatunōbhavāna ।।6.125.19।।

mudayukatāvicariṣayāmōvanānayupananāni ca .


ayōdhayāma to Ayodhya, ganatuma proceed, icachāmaḥ wish, bhavāna we, saravāna all, naḥ nay, nayatu to go, mudayukatāḥ with you, vanāni forests, upavanāni ca groves, vicariṣayāmaḥ will range without anxiety

We wish to proceed with you to Ayodhya, and many wishes to go with you and range the forests and groves without anxiety.
dṛṣaṭavātavāmabhiṣēkāradharaṅkausalayāmabhivādaya ca ।।6.125.20।।

acirādagamiṣayāmaḥsavagṛhānanṛpasatatama .


nṛpasatatama jewel among kings, abhiṣēkāradarama getting consecrated, tavāma you, dṛṣaṭavā seeing, kausalayāma Kausalya, abhivādaya ca greeting, acirāta soon, savagṛhāna own house, agamiṣayāmaḥ will return

"O Jewel among kings! We will see you being consecrated and see Kausalya, greet her and return back to our own house."
ēvamukatasasadharamātamāvānaraisasavibhīṣaṇaiḥ ।।6.125.21।।

abaravīdavānarānarāmasasasugarīvavibhīṣaṇāna .


savibhīṣaṇaiḥ Vibheeshana, vānaraiḥ Vanaras, ēvama in that way, ukataḥ spoken, dharamātamā righteous, saḥrāmaḥ he, Rama, sasugarīvavibhīṣaṇāna Sugriva and Vibheeshana, vānarāna Vanaras, abaravīta spoke

Vibheeshana and Vanaras had spoken in that way, Rama replied to Sugriva, Vibheeshana and Vanaras as follows.
pariyayataraṅlabadaṅyadahaṅsasuhṛjajanaḥ ।।6.125.22।।

saravairabhavadabhiḥsahitaḥparītiṅlapasayēpurīṅgataḥ .


ahama I, sasuhṛjajanaḥ with my dear and near, saravaiḥ all, bhavadabhiḥ you also, sahitaḥ together, purīma Ayodhya, gataḥ go, parītima happy, yata that, lapasayē gain, pariyāta dear Sita, pariyatarama very happy, labadama give

"If I with my dear and near and together with you go to Ayodhya, that will give more happiness with Sita coming and with all of you."
kaṣiparama sugarīvavimānaṅvānaraisasaha ।।6.125.23।।

tavamapayārōhasāmātayōrākaṣasēnadaravibhīṣaṇa .


sugarīva Sugriva, vānaraiḥsaha with Vanaras, kaṣiparama quickly, vimānama aerial car, ārōha ascended, rākaṣasēnadaraḥ Rakshasa king, vibhīṣaṇa Vibheeshana, sāmātayaḥ ministers, tavamapi all, ārōha ascended

Sugriva and the Vanaras, quickly ascended the aerial car. Vibheeshana, the king of Rakshasas and ministers all of them ascended.
tataḥ sa puṣapakaṅdivayaṅsugarīvasasahavānaraiḥ ।।6.125.24।।

ārurōhamudāyukataḥsāmātayaśacavibhīṣaṇaḥ .


tataḥ then, saḥsugarīvaḥ Sugriva, vānaraiḥsaha with Vanaras, mudā happy, yukataḥ joined, divayama wonderful, puṣapakama Pushpaka, ārurōha ascended, sāmātayaḥ ministers, vibhīṣaṇaśaca Vibheeshana

Then Sugriva with Vanaras happily joined the wonderful Pushpaka, Vibheeshana and his ministers also ascended.
tēṣavārūḍhēṣusaravēṣukaubēraṅparamāsanama ।।6.125.25।।

rāghavaṇābhayanujañātamutapapātavihāyasama .


tēṣu those, saravēṣu all, ārūḍhēṣu having got in, kaubērama Kubera's, paramāsanama supreme seat, rāghavēṇa by Raghava, abhayanujañātama with his permission, vihāyasama sky, utapapāta flew

All the Vanaras and others having got into Kubera's Pushpaka with Rama's permission, it flew into the sky.
gatēnavimānēnahaṅsayukatēnabhāsavatā ।।6.125.26।।

parahṛṣaṭaśacaparatītaśacababhaurāmaḥkubēravata .


parahṛṣaṭaśaca delighted, paratītaśaca thrilled, rāmaḥ Rama, khagatēna in the sky, haṅsayukatēna with pictures of swans, bhāsavatā shining, vimānēna by the aerial car, kubēravata like Kubera, babhau shone

Delighted and thrilled, Rama was flying in the sky in Pushpaka and with shining swans, he shone like Kubera.
tēsaravēvānarararakaṣaśacarākaṣasāśacamahābalāḥ ।।6.125.27।।

yathāsukhamasamabādhaṅdivayētasaminanupāviśana .


saravē all, tē they, vānarararakaṣaśaca Vanaras and Bears, mahābalāḥ mighty, rākaṣasāśaca Rakshasas also divayē wonderful, tasamina their, yathāsukhama happily, asamabādhama seated at comfortable distance, upāviśana seated

The Vanaras, Bears and the mighty Rakshasas also were happily and comfortably seated at good distance in the wonderful aerial car.
।। itayāraṣēvālamīkīyēśarīmadarāmāyaṇēādikāvayēyudadhakāṇaḍēpañacaviṅśatayutataraśatatamasasaragaḥ ।।
