anujañātaṅturāmēṇatadavimānamanutatamama .

haṅsayukataṅmahānādamutapapātavihāyasama ।।6.126.1।।


anutatamama unsurpassed, haṅsayukatama like swan, mahānādama great sound, tata that, vimānama aerial car, rāmēṇa by Rama, anujañātama permission, vihāyasama started to fly, utapapāta rising up

Swan shaped Pushpak, unsurpassed in appearance like swan, making great sound started to fly with the permission of Rama.
pātayitavātataśacakaṣusasaravatōraghunanadanaḥ .

abaravīnamaithilīṅsītāṅrāmaśaśaśinibhānanāma ।।6.126.2।।


tataḥ then, raghunanadanaḥ enhancer of joy of Raghu race, rāmaḥ Rama, cakaṣuḥ eyes, saravataḥ all sides, pātayitavā casting, śaśinibhānanāma moon like face, maithilīma of Mythili, sītāma Sita, abaravīta spoke

Then Rama, the enhancer of the joy of Raghu race casting his gaze at the moon -like face of Sita spoke.
kailāsaśikharākārētarikūṭaśikharēsathitāma .

laṅakāmīkaṣasavavaidēhīniramitāṅviśavakaramaṇā ।।6.126.3।।

harīṇāṅrākaṣasānāṅ ca sītē viśasanaṅmahata ।।6.126.4।।

makarākaṣaśacaduradharaṣōmayāyudhinipātitaḥ ।।6.126.11।।

vidayujajihavō।।taranihatōrākaṣasōbhīmadaraśanaḥ .

yajañaśataruśacanihataḥsupataghanaśacamahābalaḥ ।।6.126.13।।

sūrayaśataruśacanihatōbarahamaśatarusatathāparaḥ .

tavahētōraviśālākaṣinalasētuḥsuduṣakaraḥ .


viśālākaṣi broad eyed, ēṣaḥ here, sāgarē on the ocean, salilāraṇavē salt ocean, mayā by me, badadhaḥ bridge, suduṣakaraḥ very difficult, nalasētuḥ built by Nala (called Nalasethu as it was built by Nala)

"Broad eyed lady! Here is the bridge built on the salty ocean by Nala, which was difficult to construct."
paśayasāgaramakaṣōbhayaṅvaidēhivaruṇālayama ।।6.126.17।।

apāramabhigarajanataṅśaṅakhaśukatisamākulama .

"Vaidehi! See the abode of Varuna, impenetrable and immeasurable roaring aloud filled with conches and oyster-shells."
hiraṇayanābhaṅśailēnadaraṅkāñacanaṅpaśayamaithili ।।6.126.18।।

viśaramārathaṅhanumatōbhitatavāsāgaramutathitama .


maithili Mythili, hanumataḥ Hanumantha, viśaramārathama in order to rest, sāgarama ocean, bhitatavā cleaving, utathitama risen up, kāñacanama golden, hiraṇayanābhama golden mountain, paśaya see

"Mythili! See the mountain which has golden caves and has risen cleaving the ocean in order to give place for Hanuman to rest while crossing the ocean."
ētatatakukaṣausamudarasayasakanadhāvāranivēśanama ।।6.126.19।।

atarapūravaṅmahādēvaḥparasādamakarōtaparabhuḥ .

atararākaṣasarājō।।yamājagāmavibhīṣaṇaḥ .

sugarīvasayapurīramayāyataravālīmayāhataḥ .


sītē Sita, sugarīvasaya Sugriva's, purī capital, ramayā beautiful, citarakānanā lovely woods, sā he, ēṣā of this, kiṣakinadhā Kishkinda, dṛśayatē seeing, yatara there, mayā by me, vālī Vali, hataḥ was killed

"Sita! You are seeing the capital of Sugriva, beautiful Kishkinda with lovely woods. Vali was killed here by me."
athadṛṣaṭavāpurīṅsītākiṣakinadhāṅvālipālitāma ।।6.126.23।।

abaravītapaśaritaṅvākayaṅrāmaṅparaṇatasādhavasā .

satarībhiḥparivṛtāḥsaravēhayayōdhayāṅyānatusītayā .

abhitavarasavasugarīva gacachāmaḥpalavagādhipa .


mahābala of mighty prowess, palavagādhipa head of monkeys, sugarīva Sugriva, tathā like that, tavama api you too, saravābhiḥ all, satarībhiḥsaha including women, abhitavarasava quickly, gacachāmaḥ have to go

Sugriva the head of the monkeys said" all of you including women also have to go quickly."
ēvamukatasatusugarīvōrāmēṇāmitatējasā ।।6.126.29।।

vānarādhipatiśarīmāṅsasasaiśacasaravaisasamāvṛtaḥ .

paraviśayānataḥpuraṅśīgharaṅtārāmuvadīkaṣayasō।।baravīta ।।6.126.30।।

When Rama of immeasurable energy had spoken in the aforesaid manner, Sugriva, the prosperous leader of Vanaras, surrounded by the monkeys entered the gynaeceum and looking at Tara said.
pariyē tavaṅsahanārābhiravānarāṇāṅmahātamanāma .

rāghavēṇābhayanujañātāmaithilīpariyakāmayayā ।।6.126.31।।


pariyē dear, tavama you, mahātamanāma great soul, vānarāṇāma Vanaras, nārībhiḥsaha women also, rāghavēṇa with Raghava, maithilīpariyakāmayayā to gratify Mythili, abhayanujañātā with due permission

"Dear, you have been duly permitted by the great soul Raghava to go to Ayodhya with Vanaras and also women to gratify Mythili."
tavaratavamabhigacachāmōgṛhayavānarayōṣitaḥ .

ayōdhayāṅdaraśayiṣayāmaḥsaravādaśarathasatariyaḥ ।।6.126.32।।


tavama you, tavara hasten, vānarayōṣitaḥ wives of the monkeys, gṛhaya taking, gacachāmaḥ will depart, ayōdhayāma to Ayodhya, saravāḥ all, daśarathasatariyaḥ consorts of the king of Dasharatha, daraśayiṣayāmaḥwill see

"You hasten the wives of the monkeys. Taking all of them we shall depart to Ayodhya and shall see the consorts of Dasharatha."
sugarīvasaya va caḥśarutavātārāsaravāṅagaśōbhanā .

āhūyacābaravītasaravāvānarāṇāṅtuyōṣitaḥ ।।6.126.33।।


saravāṅagaśōbhanā of beautiful limbs, tārā Tara, sugarīvasaya Sugriva's, vacaḥwords, śarutavā on hearing, vānarāṇāma Vanaras, saravāḥ all, satariyaḥ women, āhūya ca summoning, abaravīta spoke

On hearing Sugriva's words, Tara of beautiful limbs spoke, summoning all women.
sugarīvēṇābhayanujañātāganatuṅsaravaiśacavānaraiḥ .

mamacāpipariyaṅkārayamayōdhayādaravanēna ca ।।6.126.34।।

dṛśayatē।।saumahānasītē savidayudivatōyadaḥ ।।6.126.38।।

ṛṣayamūkōgirivaraḥkāñacanairadhātubhiravṛtaḥ .


sītē Sita, kāñacanaiḥ gold, dhātubhiḥ minerals, vṛtaḥ covered, savidayuta glowing, tōyadaḥ cloud, iva like asau oh, girivaraḥ jewel among mountains, ṛṣayamūkaḥ Rshyamuka, dṛśayatē is seen

"Sita! Rshyamuka is seen covered with streaks of gold minerals, glowing like clouds with lightning."
tarāhaṅvānarēnadarēṇasugarīvēṇasamāgataḥ ।।6.126.39।।

samayaśacakṛtaḥsītēvadhārathaṅvālinōmayā .

nalinī waters, citarakānanā lovely woods, ēṣā here, pamapā Pampa, dṛśayatē is seen, yatara there, ahama I, tavayā by me, vihīnaḥ separated, suduḥkhitaḥ afflicted, vilalāpa lamented

"Here is seen lovely woods and Pampa waters. I lamented here, separated from you."
asayāsatīrēmayādṛṣaṭāśabarīdharamacāriṇī ।।6.126.41।।

atarayōjanabāhuśacakabanadhōnihatōmayā .


asayāḥ its, tīrē bank, dharamacāriṇī following righteous path, śabarī Sabari, mayā by me, dṛṣaṭā saw, atara there, mayā by me, yōjanabāhuḥ arms as long as yojana (eight miles), kabanadhaḥ Kabhanda, nihataḥ was killed

"On its bank (Pampa) I saw Sabari, who was following the righteous path. Kabhanda, of eight miles long arms, was killed by me."
dṛśayatē।।saujanasathānēśarīmānasītē vanasapatiḥ ।।6.126.42।।

jaṭāyuśacamahātējāsatavahētōravilāsini .

rāvaṇēnahatōyatarapakaṣiṇāṅparavarōbalī ।।6.126.43।।


sītē Sita, janasathānē Janasthana, śarīmāna prosperous, asau oh, vanasapatiḥ mighty tree, dṛśayatē seen, vilāsini sportive lady, yatara there, tavahētōḥ on your account, pakaṣiṇāma vulture, paravaraḥ exceptionally, balī strong, mahātējāḥ highly energetic, jaṭāyuśaca Jatayu, rāvaṇēna by Ravana, nihataḥ was killed

"Sita, here is Janasthana, where a mighty tree is seen. Oh sportive lady! There the exceptionally strong and highly energetic vulture Jatayu got killed by Ravana on account of you."
kharaśacanihatōyataradūṣaṇaśacanipātitaḥ .

tariśirāśacamahāvīrayōmayābāṇairajihamagaiḥ ।।6.126.44।।

ētatatadāśaramamadamasamākaṅvaravaraṇini .

paraṇaśālātathācitarādṛśayatēśubhadaraśanē ।।6.126.45।।

yataratavaṅrākaṣasēnadarēṇarāvaṇēnahṛtābalāta .


varavaraṇini excellent lady, ētata this, yatara there, mayā by me, ajihamagaiḥ going straight, śaraiḥ arrows, kharaśaca Khara, nihataḥ killed, dūṣaṇaśaca Dushana, nipātitaḥ fallen, tata that, asamākama our, āśaramapadama hermitage, tathā similarly, śubhadaraśanē well known site, tavama you, yatara there, rākaṣasēnadarēṇa Rakshasa king, rāvaṇēna by Ravana, balāta forcibly, hṛtā borne away, paraṇaśālā hut covered with leaves, dṛśayatē is seen

"O excellent lady! Here is the location where Khara was killed by my straight going arrows and Dushana had fallen. Here is our hermitage covered with leaves, a well known site. It is from here that Ravana had borne you away forcibly."
ēṣāgōdāvarīramayāparasananasalilāśubhā ।।6.126.46।।

agasatayasayāśaramaśacaiva dṛśayatē kadalīvṛtaḥ .


ēṣā here is, parasananasalilā pure water, śubhā auspicious, ramayā beautiful, gōdāvarī Godavari, kadalīvṛtaḥ surrounded by banana plants, agasatayasaya Agastya's, āśaramaśacaiva hermitage also, dṛśayatē is seen

"Here is an auspicious, beautiful Godavari with pure water. Here is also seen the hermitage of Agastya surrounded by banana plants."
dīpataśaivāśaramōhayēṣasutīkaṣaṇasayamahātamanaḥ ।।6.126.47।।

vaidēhidṛśayatēcaivaśarabhaṅagāśaramōmahāna .

upayātaḥsahasarākaṣōyataraśakaraḥpuranadaraḥ ।।6.126.48।।


dīpataḥ glowing, ēṣaḥāśaramaḥ this hermitage, mahātamanaḥ great sage, sutīkaṣaṇasaya Sutikshna, vaidēhi Vaidehi, mahāna great, śarabhaṅagāśaramaḥcaiva Sarabhanga's hermitage, dṛśayatē is seen, yatara here, sahasarākaṣaḥ thousand eyed, puranadaraḥ Purandara, śakaraḥ Indra, upayātaḥ had come

"See the glowing hermitage of the great sage Sutikshna. Vaidehi, see Sarabhanga's hermitage here, where the thousand eyed Indra, the destroyer of citadels (Purandara) had come."
ētēhitāpasāvāsādṛśayanatētanumadhayamē .

atariḥkulapatirayatarasūrayavaiśavānarōpamaḥ ।।6.126.49।।


tanumadhayamē of slender -waist, ētē there, hi is, tāpasāḥ ascetics, vāsā abodes, dṛśayanatē is seen, yatara there, sūrayavaiśavānarōpamaḥ like sun and fire, atariḥ Atri, kulapatiḥ head

"There are seen the abodes of ascetics. Here was seen by you hermitage of Atri (whose wife Anasuya you had seen) glowing like sun and fire."
asamina dēśēmahākāyōvirādhōnihatōmayā .

atarasītē tavayādṛṣaṭavātāpasīdharamacāriṇī ।।6.126.50।।


asaminadēśē in these countries, mahākāyaḥ of gigantic body size, virādhaḥ Viradha, mayā by me, nihataḥ killed, sītē Sita, atara there, dharamacāriṇī practicing virtues, tāpasī ascetic, tavayā you, dṛṣaṭā saw

"In these countries was a Rakshasa, called Viradha of gigantic size who was killed by me. There is an ascetic woman Anasuya practicing virtues whom you saw."
asausutanuśailēnadaratarakūṭaḥparakāśatē .

ataramāṅkaikayīputaraparasādayitumāgataḥ ।।6.126.51।।


sutanu charming lady, asau oh, śailēnadaraḥ best of mountains, citarakūṭaḥ Chitrakuta, parakāśatē shining, atara there, kaikayīputaraḥ Kaikeyi's son, māma me, parasādayituma to request, āgataḥ had come here

"O Charming lady! See the best of the mountains Chitrakuta shining there. Kaikeyi's son had come here to request me to accept the kingdom."
ēṣāsāyamunāramayādṛśayatēcitarakānanā .

bharadavājāśaramaḥśarīmānadṛśayatēcaiṣamaithili ।।6.126.52।।


maithili Mythili, ēṣā this, citarakānanā wonderful woods, ramayā beautiful, sāyamunā that Yamuna, dṛśayatē is seen, śarīmāna glorious, ēṣaḥ this, bharadavājāśaramaḥ Bharadwaja's hermitage, dṛśayatē is seen

"Mythili! See the wonderful woods bordering beautiful Yamuna. Glorious hermitage of Bharadwaja is seen there."
iyaṅ ca dṛśayatēgaṅagāpuṇayātaripathagānadī .

nānādavijagaṇākīraṇāsamaparapuṣapitakānanā ।।6.126.53।।


nānādavijagaṇākīraṇā frequented with several kinds of birds, samaparapuṣapitapādapā filled with trees full of blossoms, iyama these, puṇayā sacred, taripathagā three worlds, gaṅagānadī Ganga river, dṛśayatē is seen

"There is a sacred river Ganga where several kinds of birds frequent and are filled with trees full of blossoms."
śṛṅagibērapuraṅcaitadaguhōyatarasakhāmama .

ēṣāsādṛśayatēsītēsarayūrayūpamālinī ।।6.126.54।।

nānātaruśatākīraṇāsamaparapuṣapitakānanā .


ētata this, śṛṅagibērapuraṅ ca Sringaberipura, yatara there, mama my, sakhā friend, guha Guha, sītē Sita, yūpamālinī with rows of sacrificial posts, nānātaruśatākīraṇā with several kinds of many trees, samaparapuṣapitakānanā trees full of blossom, sā that, sarayūḥ Sarayu, ēṣā these, dṛśayatē seen

"See this Sringaberipura. Their lives my friend Guha. Sita, several kinds of trees full of blossoms are seen on the bank of Sarayu. See the rows of sacrificial posts."
ēṣāsādṛśayatēsītērājadhānīpituramama ।।6.126.55।।

ayōdhayāṅkuruvaidēhiparaṇāmaṅpunarāgatā .


sītē Sita, ēṣā this, mama my, pituḥ father, sārājadhānī that capital, dṛśayatē you see, vaidēhi Vaidehi, punaḥ again, āgatā reached, ayōdhayāma Ayodhya, paraṇāmama salutations, kuru offer

Sita! My father's capital Ayodhya is seen. We have come here. Offer your salutations."
tatasatēvānarāsasaravērākaṣasāsasavibhīṣaṇāḥ ।।6.126.56।।

utapatayōtapatayasamahṛṣaṭāsatāṅpurīṅdadṛśusatadā .


tataḥ then, tē you, saravē all, vānarāḥ Vanara, savibhīṣaṇāḥ Vibheeshana also, rākaṣasāḥ Rakshasas, samahṛṣaṭāḥ delightful, tadā then, utapatayōtapataya got up, tāṅpurīma that city, dadṛśuḥ saw

Then all the Vanaras, Vibheeshana too and Rakshasas got up and saw the delightful city.
tatasatutāṅpāṇaḍuraharamayamālinīṅviśālakakaṣayāṅgajavājibhiravṛtāma .

purīmapaśayanapalavagāsasarākaṣasāḥpurīṅmahēnadarasayayathāmarāvatīma ।।6.126.57।।


tataḥ then, sarākaṣasāḥ the Rakshasas, palavaṅagamāḥ monkeys, pāṇaḍuraharamayamālinīma rows of white mansions, viśālakakaṣayāma with huge windows, gajavājibhiḥ with horses and elephants, mahēnadarasaya Mahendra's, purīma city, amarāvatīṅyathā like the Amaravati, tāṅ that, purīma city, apaśayana witnessed

Then the Rakshasas, monkeys witnessed the city with rows of white mansions, with huge windows, horses, and elephants all over like Amaravati, the city of Mahendra.
।। itayāraṣēvālamīkīyēśarīmadarāmāyaṇēādikāvayēyudadhakāṇaḍēṣaḍaivaṅśatayutataraśatatamasasaragaḥ ।।
