[Suka begins to give a description of Rama, Lakshmana, Hanuman, Sugriva, and others in the Vanara army to Ravana.]

साराणस्यवचश्श्रुत्वारावणंराक्षसाधिपम् ।

बलमादिश्यतत्सर्वंशुकोवाक्यमथाब्रवीत् ।।6.28.1।।


अथ then, शुक: Suka, सारणस्य Saarana's, वचः words, श्रुत्वा having heard, तत् then, सर्वम् everything, बलम् strength, आदिश्य having described, राक्षसाधिपम् to Rakshasa king, रावणम् Ravana, वाक्यम् these words, अब्रवीत् spoke.

Then Ravana the king of Rakshasas having heard Saarana's words and described the strength (of Vanaras) Suka spoke these words.
स्थितान्पश्यसियानेतान्मत्तानिवमहाद्विपान् ।

न्यग्रोधानिवगाङ्गेयान् सालान् हैमवतानिव ।।6.28.2।।

एतेदुष्प्रसहाराजन्बलिनःकामरूपिणः ।

दैत्यदानवसङ्काशायुद्धेदेवपराक्रमाः ।।6.28.3।।


राजन् O king!, मत्तान् intoxicated, महाद्विपानिप on the island, गङ्गेयान् of Ganges, न्यग्रोधानिव like banyan tree, हैमवतान् in Himalaya mountain, सालानिव like Sala trees, स्थितान् stationed, यान् marching, एतान् these people, पश्यसि you may see, एते these, दुष्प्रसहाः difficult to encounter, बलिनः strong, कामरूपिणः who can change form at their free will, दैत्यदानवसङ्काशाः look like gods and Danavas, युद्धे in war, देवपराक्रमाः valour like that of gods.

"O King! like a banyan tree on the island, like Sala trees on the Himalayan Mountain these people are stationed. You may see them marching. They are strong to encounter, can change form at their free will. They look like gods and Danavas in war and have the valour of gods."
एषांकोटिसहस्राणिनवपञ्चचसप्तच ।

तथाशङ्खुसहस्राणितथाबृन्दशतानिच ।।6.28.4।।


एषाम् these, नव nine, पञ्चच and five, सप्तच and seven also, कोटिसहस्राणि thousand crores, तथा so also, शङ्खुसहस्राणि thousands of Sankhas, तथा similarly, बृन्दशतानिच hundred Vrindas. (A Sankha is equal to lakh of crores, A vrinda is equal to a lakh of Maha Sankhus).

"These Vanaras are nine, five and seven thousand crores in number. They are in many thousands of Sankhas and Vrindas."
एतेसुग्रीवसचिवाःकिष्किन्धानिलयास्सदा ।

हरयोदेवगन्धर्वैरुत्पन्नाःकामरूपिणः ।।6.28.5।।


देवगन्धर्वैः celestial gods and Gandharvas, उत्पन्नाः born to, कामरूपिणः they are free to change their form at will, सुग्रीवसचिवाः Sugriva's allies, एते these, सदा always, किष्किन्दानिलयाः reside in Kishkinda.

"These are allies of Sugriva ever residing at Kishkinda. They are born to celestial gods and Gandharvas and can change their form at their will."
यौतौपश्यसितिष्ठन्तौकुमारौदेवरूपिणौ ।

मैन्दश्चद्विविदश्चोभौताभ्यांनास्तिसमोयुधि ।।6.28.6।।


तिष्ठन्तौ standing there, देवरूपिणौ in god's form, कुमारौ young ones, यौ both, पश्यसि do you see them, तौ they both, मैन्दश्च Mainda, द्विविधश्चोभौ Dwivida, युधि in war, ताभ्याम् both of them, समः similar, नास्ति none.

"Do you see two of them standing there? They are young and have the form of gods. They are Mainda and Dwivida. Both of them are similar in war and none equal them in war."
ब्राह्मणासममज्ञातावमृतप्राशिनापुभौ ।

आशंसेतेयुथालङ्कामेतौमर्दितुमोजसा ।।6.28.7।।


ब्राह्मणा Brahma, समनुज्ञातौ by the permission of, अमृतप्राशिनौ have drunk the nectar of immortality, एतौ they, उभौ both, मोजसः with their prowess, लङ्गाम् Lanka, मर्धितुम् to destroy, आशंसेतेयुथा leaders aspiring.

"They drank the nectar of immortality with the permission of Brahma. These leaders are aspiring to destroy Lanka by their prowess."
यंतुपश्यसितिष्टन्तंप्रभिन्नमिवकुञ्जरम् ।

योबलात् क्षोभयेत् क्रुद्धस्समुद्रमपिवानरः ।।6.28.8।।

एषोऽभिगन्तालङ्कायावैदेह्यास्तवचप्रभो: ।

एनंपश्यपुरादृष्टंवानरंपुनरागतम् ।।6.28.9।।


प्रभो O Lord!, प्रभिन्नम् deformed, कुञ्जरम् इव like elephants, तिष्ठन्तम standing, यम् there, पश्यसि you may see, क्रुद्धःवानरः when angry this Vanara, यः who, समुद्रमपि even the sea, क्षोभयेत् will churn up, एषः this, लङ्कायाः Lanka's, वैदेह्याः Vaidehi, तन spread, अबिगन्ता seen and gone, परा earlier, दृष्टम् seen, पुनः and again, आगतम् come, एनम् him, पश्य you may see.

"O Lord! You may see the one standing there like an elephant who can churn up the sea when he is angry. He has come to Lanka earlier, seen Sita and gone back. You may see that he has come again."
ज्येष्ठःकेसरिणःपुत्त्रोवातात्मजइतिश्रुतः ।

हनूमानितिविख्यातोलङ्घितोयेनसागरः ।।6.28.10।।


येन this, सागरः sea, लङ्घितः leapt over, केसरिणः Kesari's, ज्येष्ठः eldest, पुत्त्रः son, वातात्मजःइति of WindGod, श्रुतः son, हनूमानिति called Hanuman, विख्यातः popular.

"He is the eldest son born of Kesari and the son of WindGod and is popularly known as Hanuman. He leapt over the sea and came."
कामरूपीहरिश्रेष्टोबलरूपसमन्वितः ।

अनिवार्यगतिश्चैवयथासततगःप्रभुः ।।6.28.11।।


हरिश्रेष्ठः jewel among Vanaras, कामरूपः one who can change form at his will, बलरूबसमन्वितः endowed with physical strength and charm, सततगः being existent everywhere, प्रभुःयथा like Lord, अनिवार्यगतिश्चैव has the speed of wind and his course cannot be prevented like wind.

"He is a jewel among Vanaras. He can change his form at his will. He is endowed with physical strength and charm. Being existent everywhere like windgod his cause cannot be prevented like that of wind god."
उद्यन्तभास्करंदृष्टवाबालःकिलपिपासितः ।

त्रियोजनसहस्रंतुअध्वानमवतीर्यहि ।।6.28.12।।

आदित्यमाहरिष्यामिनमेक्षुत्प्रतियास्यति ।

इतिसञ्चिन्त्यमनसापुरैषबलदर्पितः ।।6.28.13।।


बालकः when he was a child, पिपासितः being hungry, उद्यन्तम् rising, भास्करम् Sun, दृष्टवा seeing, त्रियोजनसहस्रम् three thousand yojanas, अध्वानम् travelled, अवतीर्य alighted, मे my, क्षुत् son, नप्रतिस्यति not be appeased, आदित्यम् Sun, आहरिष्यामि will eat up, इति thus, मनसा thinking, सञ्चिन्त्य resolving, बलदर्पितः proud of his strength, पुरैष leapt.

When he was a child, on seeing the rising Sun, he travelled three thousand yojanas and said, "I will eat up the Sun otherwise I will not be appeased', being proud of his strength."
अनाधृष्यतमंदेवमपिदेवर्षिदानवैः ।

अनासाघैवपतितोभास्करोदयनेगिरौ ।।6.28.14।।


देवर्षिदानवैरपि even for gods, sages and Danavas, अनाधृष्यतमम् unassailable, देवम् Sun god god, अनासाद्येव not possible, भास्करोदयने near the eastern part, गिरौ on the mountain, पतिता fell down.

"Unassailable even for gods, sages and Danavas to reach the Sun god, he fell down near the eastern part."
पतितस्यकपेरस्यहनुरेकाशिलातले ।

किञ्चिद्भिन्नादृढहनोर्हनूमानेषतेनवै ।।6.28.15।।


शिलातले over the mountain, पतितस्य fallen down, अस्य this, कपे monkey, एका one, हनुः jaw, किञ्चित् a bit, भिन्नातेन slightly broken, दृढहनुः solid jaw, एषः this, हनुमान् Hanuman.

"By falling on the mountain one of the jaws of the monkey got broken. This is the reason that he is known as Hanuman."
सत्यमागमयोगेनममैषविदितोहरिः ।

नास्यशक्यंबलंरूपंप्रभावोवाऽपिभाषितम् ।।6.28.16।।


एषः this, हरिः monkey, मम to me, सत्यम् truth, आगमयोगेन by one who is in contact with me, विदितः known, अस्य his, बलम् strength, रूपम् appearance, प्रभावोना even his glory, नभाषितम् अपि cannot be described, नशक्यम् not possible.

"I came to know about him through one of my contacts. His strength, his appearance and glory are indescribable."
एषआशंसतेलङ्कामेकोमर्दितुमोजसा ।

येवजाज्वल्यतेऽपौवैधूमकेतुस्तवाद्यवै ।।6.28.17।।

लङ्कायांनिहितश्चापिकथंविस्मरसेकपिम् ।


एषः this, एकः single handed, ओजसा prowess, लङ्काम् Lanka, मर्दितुम् demolish, आशंसतेतन is intending to do, लङ्कायाम् at Lanka, येन by him, निहितः entrusted, असौ this, धूमकेतुः Dhoomakethu, अद्यवै now, जाज्वल्यते fired the tail, कपिम् monkey, कथम् how, विस्मरसे forget.

"This monkey is intending to demolish this Lanka single handed. How can you forget about (the task of) setting his tail on fire entrusted by you to Dhoomakethu?"
यश्चैषोऽनन्तरश्शूरश्श्यामःपद्मनिभेक्षणः ।

इक्ष्वाकूणामतिरथोलोकेविख्यातपौरुष ।।6.28.18।।

यस्मिन्नचलतेधर्मोयोधर्मंनातिवर्तते ।

योब्राह्ममस्त्रंवेदांश्चवेदवेदविदांवरः ।।6.28.19।।

योभिन्द्याद्गगनंबाणैःपर्वतांश्चापिदारयेत् ।

यस्यमृत्योरिवक्रोधश्शक्रस्येवपराक्रमः ।।6.28.20।।

यस्यभार्याजनस्थानात्सीताचापिहृतात्वया ।

सएषरामस्त्वांयोद्धुंराजन्समभिवर्तते ।।6.28.21।।


राजन् O king!, श्यामः dark complexioned, पद्मनिभेक्षणः lotus like eyes, यः he, एषः this, अनन्तरः not distant from him, यस्मिन् his, धर्मः righteousness, वेदविदान् use of vedas, वरः presided over, यः he by whom, ब्राह्मण् Brahma अस्त्रम् weapon, वेदांश्च and vedas also, वेद knows, यः he whose, बाणैः arrows, गगनम् sky, भिन्द्यात् pierce through, पर्वतांश्चापि even the mountains, दारयेत् consort, यस्य his, क्रोधः anger, मृत्योरिव like death, पराक्रमः valour, शक्रस्येव like that of Indra, यस्य his, भार्या wife, सीता Sita, त्वया your, जनस्थानात् from Janasthana, हृता borne away, इक्ष्वाकूणाम् of Ikshvaku race, विख्यातपौरुषः, सः he, रामः Rama, योद्धुम् war, त्वाम् with you, अभिवर्तते is advancing.

"O king! the king who is not distant from him, a dark complexioned, one with lotus eyes who never transgresses his righteousness, who is a great charioteer of Ikshvaku race who knows use of Vedas, who is choicest, who knows the weapons presided over by Brahma whose arrows can pierce through the sky and even mountains whose anger is like anger of death, whose valour is like that of Indra whose consort has been borne away from Janasthana is Rama. He is advancing towards you to wage war with you."
यस्यैषदक्षिणेपार्श्वेशुद्धजाम्बूनदप्रभः ।

विशालवक्षास्ताम्राक्षोनीलकुञ्जितमूर्धजः ।।6.28.22।।

एषोऽस्यलक्ष्मणोनामभ्राताप्राणसमःप्रियः ।

नयेयुद्धेचकुशलस्सर्वशस्त्रभृतंवरः ।।6.28.23।।


यस्य his, दक्षिणेपार्श्वे right side, एषः this, शुद्धजाम्बूनदप्रभः whose body radiates like gold, विशालवक्षाः one with broad chest, ताम्राक्षः red eyes, नीलकुञ्चितमार्धजः dark curly haired, एषः this is, लक्ष्मणोनाम known as Lakshmana, भ्राता brother, प्राणसमहाप्रियः as dear as life, नये in moral science, युद्धेच and warfare, कुशलः skilled, सर्वशस्त्रभृताम् foremost among all wielders of weapons, वरः the best.

"To his right is his brother known as Lakshmana whose body radiates like gold, he has broad chest, red eyes, dark curly hair. He is as dear as his life to Rama. He is skilled in moral science and warfare. He is the foremost and the best among wielders of weapons."
अमर्षीदुर्जयोजेताविक्रान्तोबुद्धिमान् बली ।

रामस्यदक्षिणोबाहुर्नित्यंप्राणोबहिश्चरः ।।6.28.24।।


अमर्षी one who does not forgive (the enemies of Rama), दुर्जयः difficult to win, विक्रान्तः indomitable, जेता victorious, बुद्धिमान् wise one, बली strong one, नित्यम् ever, रामस्य Rama's, दक्षिणःबाहुः right hand, बहिश्चरः external breath, प्राणः life

"He is one who does not forgive (Rama's enemies), difficult to win, indomitable, victorious, strong and wise one. He is the right hand of Rama and external breath of his life."
नह्येषराघवस्यार्थेजीवितंपरिरक्षति ।

एषैवाशंसतेयुद्धेनिहन्तुंसर्वराक्षसान् ।।6.28.25।।


एषः this, राघवस्यार्थे for the cause of Rama, जीवितम् life, नपरिरक्षतिहि not spare his life. एषैना he too, युद्धे in war, सर्वराक्षसान् all Rakshasas, विहन्तुम् destroy, आशिंपते intent upon.

"For the cause of Rama, he will spare his life. He too is intent upon destroying all Rakshasas."
यस्तुसव्यमसौपक्षंरामस्याश्रित्यतिष्ठति ।

रक्षोगणपरिक्षिप्तोराजाह्येषविभीषणः ।।6.28.26।।


असौ the one, यःतु who is near, रामस्य Rama's, सव्यम् left, पक्षम् side, आश्रित्य sought refuge, तिष्ठति stands, रक्षोगणपरिक्षिप्तः surrounded by Rakshasas and protected, एषः he is, राजा king, विभीषण Vibheeshana.

"The one who is near Rama's left who sought Rama's refuge and stands surrounded by Rakshasas and protected is the king Vibheeshana."
श्रीमताराजराजेनलङ्कायामभिषेचितः ।

त्वामेवप्रतिसंरब्दोयुद्धायैषोऽभिवर्तते ।।6.28.27।।


मता prosperous, राजराजेन king of kings, लङ्कायाम् of Lanka, अभिषेचितः consecrated, एषः this, त्वामेव by him, प्रतिसंरब्धः filled with anger, युद्धाय for waging war, अभिवर्तते is advancing.

"He is a prosperous king of the kings of Lanka. He has been consecrated by Rama, filled with anger he is advancing to wage war with you."
यंतुपस्यसितिष्ठन्तंमध्येगिरिमिवाचलम् ।

सर्वशाखामृगेन्द्राणांभर्तारममितौजसम् ।।6.28.28।।

तेजयशसाबुद् ध्याज्ञानेनाभिजनेनच ।

यःकपीनतिबभ्राजहिमवानिवपर्वतान् ।।6.28.29।।

किष्किन्धांयस्समध्यास्तेगुहांसगहनद्रुमाम् ।

दुर्गांपर्वतदुर्गस्तांप्रधानैस्सहयूथपैः ।।6.28.30।।

यस्यैषाकाञ्चनीमालाशोभितेशतपुष्करा ।

कान्तादेवमनुष्याणांयस्यांलक्ष्मीप्रतिष्ठिता ।।6.28.31।।

एतांचमालांतारांचकपिराज्यंचशाश्वतम् ।

सुग्रीवोवालिनंहत्वारामेणप्रतिपादितः ।।6.28.32।।


सर्वशाखामृगेन्द्राणाम् the Lord of all monkey leaders, भर्तारम् Lord, अमितौजसम् highly glorious one, मध्ये in the midst, तिष्टन्तम् standing, यम् restrained, अचलम् steady, गिरिमिव like a mountain, पश्यसि do you see, यः he, हिमवान् Himalayas, पर्यतःइततेजसा just as it out shines all mountains, यशसा in fame, बुध्या in intellect, ज्ञानेन in wisdom, अभिजनेन lineage, कपि monkey, अतिबभ्राज with thickly grown, यः that he, सगहनद्रुमाम् surrounded by the trees, दुर्गाम् difficult to access, पर्वतदुर्गस्थाम् in the mountain cave fort, गुहाम् in the cave, किष्किन्धाम् in Kishkinda, प्रधानैः chief, यूथपै: सह along with army chiefs, समाध्यास्ते in the midst, यस्याम् its, देवमनुष्याणाम् by gods and human beings, लक्ष्मीः Lakshmi, प्रतिष्ठिता is installed, कान्ता of his beloved, शतपुष्करा of hundred flowers, काञ्चनी golden, एषा in the same way, यस्य her, माला chain, शोभिते glowing, सुग्रीवः Sugriva, रामेण by Rama, वालिनम् Vali, हत्वा having slayed, एताम् that, मालाम् chain, तारांच and Tara, शाश्वतम् permanently, कपिराज्यंच kingdom of the monkeys, प्रतिपादितः has been granted.

"The one whom you see standing in the midst is the king of all chiefs of the Vanara army, a highly glorious one, steady like a mountain. like Himalayas that outshines all mountains, he surpasses all in fame, in intellect, in wisdom and in lineage. That monkey chief resides in the mountain cave fort with thickly grown trees around in the middle of Kishkinda, which is difficult to access, and is surrounded by his army chiefs. See the golden chain on him shining away with hundred lotuses in which stands Lakshmi installed which is difficult even for gods and human beings to covet. In the same way as the golden chain, even his beloved Tara and kingdom of the monkeys was permanently bestowed upon him by Rama after slaying Vali."
शतंशतसहस्राणांकोटिमाहुर्मनीषिणः ।

शतंकोटिसहस्राणांशङ्कु: इत्यभिधीयते ।।6.28.33।।


मनीषिणः the wise men, शतसहस्राणाम् hundred thousand, शतम् hundred, कोटिम् crore, आहुः multiplied by, कोटिसहस्राणाम् thousand crores, शतम् hundred, शङ्कुः Sankhu, इति thus, अभिधीयते is said to be.

"It is said by wise men that hundred thousand crores multiplied by hundred thousand crores as Sankha."
शतंशङ्कुसहस्राणांमहाशङ्कु: इतिस्मृतः ।।6.28.34।।

महाशङ्कुसहस्राणांशतंबृन्दमिहोच्यते ।

शतंबृन्दसहस्राणांमहावृन्दमितिस्मृतम् ।।6.28.35।।

महाबृन्दसहस्राणांशतंपद्ममिहोच्यते ।

शतंपद्मसहस्राणांमहापद्ममितिस्मृतिम् ।।6.28.36।।

महापद्मसहस्राणांशतंखर्वमिहोच्यते ।

शतंखर्वसहस्राणांमहाखर्वमिवोच्यते ।।6.28.37।।

महाखर्वसहस्राणांसमुद्रमभिधीयते ।

तंसमुद्रसाहस्रमोघइत्यभिधीयते ।।6.28.38।।

शतमोघसहस्राणांमहौघइतिविश्रुतः ।


शङ्कुसहस्राणाम् Thousand Sankhus, शतम् hundred, महाशङ्कुःइति is MahaSankhu. स्मृतः be aware, महाशङ्कुसहस्राणाम् hundred thousand MahaSankhu, शतम् hundred, बृन्दम् Vrinda, इह thus, उच्यते said to be बृन्दपसहस्राणाम् thousand Vrindas, शतम् hundred, महाबृन्दम् इति is said to be MahaVrinda, स्मृतम् you may know, पद्मम् Padmam, इह here, उच्यते is said to be पद्मसहस्राणाम् thousand Padmas, शतम् hundred, महापद्ममिति as Maha Padma, स्मृतम् you may know, महापद्मसहस्राणाम् thousand Mahapadmas, शतम् hundred, खर्वम् Kharvam, इह is, महाखर्मम् Mahakharvam, इवोच्यते is spoken as, महाखर्मसहस्राणाम् thousand MahaKharvam, समुद्रम् Samudram, अभिधीयते as well, शतम् hundred, समुद्रसाहस्रम् thousand Samudras, ओघऋइति Ogha, अभितीयते as well as, ओघसहस्राणाम् thousand Oghas, शतम् hundred, महौघःइति as Mahaogha, विश्रुतः is popularly known as.

A lakh of Sanku is known as Maha Sanku. A lakh of Maha Shanka is spoken as Vrinda. A lakh of Vrindas is spoken as Maha Brinda. A lakh of Maha Vrindas is known as Padma. One lakh Padmas is known as Maha Padma and a lakh of Maha Padmas is known as Kharva. A lakh of Kharvas is known as Maha Kharva and a lakh of Maha Kharvas is known as a Samudra. A lakh of Samudras is known as an Ogha. A lakh of Oghas is popularly known as Maha Ogha.
एवंकोटिसहस्रेणशङ्कूनांचशतेनच ।।6.28.39।।

महाशङ्कुसहस्रेणतथाबृन्दशतेनच ।

महाबृन्दसहस्रेणतथापद्मशतेनच ।।6.28.40।।

हापद्मसहस्रेणतथाखर्वशतेनच ।

समुद्रेणचतेनैवमहौघेनतथैवच ।।6.28.41।।

एषकोटिमहौघेनसमुद्रसदृशेनच ।

विभीषणेनसचिवैःराक्षसैःपरिवारितः ।।6.28.42।।

सुग्रीवोवानरेन्द्रस्त्वांयुद्धार्थममवर्तते ।

महाबलवृतोनित्यंमहाबलपराक्रमः ।।6.28.43।।


एवम् in this manner, कोटिसहस्रेण thousand crores, शङ्कूनाम् Sankhus, शतेनच a hundred, महाशङ्कुसहस्रेण thousand MahaSankhus, तथा so also, बृन्दशतेनच hundred Vrindas, महाबृन्दसहस्रेण thousand MahaVrindas, तथा so also, पद्मशतेनच hundred Padmas, महापद्मसहस्रेण thousand MahaPadmas, तथा so also, खर्वशतेन hundred Kharvas, तेनैव nay, समुद्रेण by a Samudra, तथैवच and similarly, सथनेवमहौघेन hundred MahaOgha, कोटिमहौघेन crore MahaOgha, समुद्रसदृशेनच just as an ocean, वीरेण galliant, राक्षसैः Rakshasas, विभीषणेन by Vibheeshana, सचिवैः accompanied by ministers, परिवारितः and others, महाबलपराक्रमः highly valiant and mighty strong, नित्यम् ever, महाबलवृतः surrounded by great army, वानरेन्द्रः king of Vanaras, एषःसुग्रीवः this Sugriva, त्वाम् with you, युद्धार्थम् for waging war, अनुवर्तते are following.

"In this manner (surrounded by) thousand crore Sankhas, a hundred thousand MahaSankhas, so also by a hundred Vrindas and thousand MahaVrindas, so also by a hundred Padmas and a thousand Mahapadmas, similarly by a hundred Kharvas nay by a Samudra, and similarly by a hundred Oghas and a hundred crore MahaOghas of monkey warriors, accompanied by gallant Vibheeshana and his ministers Sugriva the king of monkeys is ever surrounded by the great army of highly valiant and strong warriors is marching to wage war.
इमांमहाराजसमीक्ष्यवाहिनीमुपस्थितांप्रज्वलितग्रहोपमाम् ।

ततःप्रयत्नःपरमोविधीयतांयथाजयस्स्यान्नपरैःपराजयः ।।6.28.44।।


महाराज O Great king!, प्रवजितग्रहोपमाम् looking like a cruel blazing planet, उपस्थिताम् stationed close, इमाम् this, वाहिनीम् ocean of army, समीक्ष्य observing ततः that, जयः victory, यथा so also, स्यात् in the hand s of, परैः enemies, पराजयः defeat, न not, परमः supreme, प्रयत्नः effort, विधीयताम् perform.

"O Great King! Observing the ocean of army close by their appearing cruel like a blazing planet, make supreme efforts to be victorious and not to be defeated in the hands of the enemy."
