Sloka & Translation

[Indrajith starts to fight again with Rama and Lakshmana. Lakshmana wants to use Brahmastra and Rama objects to him and reflects on the means of assailing Indrajith. Indrajith conducts a fire sacrifice before starting to fight.]

makarākṣaṅhataṅśrutvārāvaṇassamitiñjayaḥ .

rōṣēṇamahatāviṣṭōdantāṅkaṭakaṭāyya ca ।।6.80.1।।

kōpitaścatadātatrakiṅkāryamiticintayan .

ādidēśāthasaṅkruddhōraṇāyējitaṅsutam ।।6.80.2।।


samitiñjayaḥone who is always victorious in war, rāvaṇaḥ Ravana, makarākṣam Maka raksha, hatam killed, śrutvā on hearing, mahatā highly, rōṣēṇa enraged, āviṣṭaḥengrossed in, dantān teeth, kaṭakaṭāyya ca grinding, kupitaśca in anger, tadā then, tatra there, kim what, kāryam deed, iti this, cintayan thinking, atha and then, saṅkruddhaḥangry, sutamson, indrajitam Indrajith, raṇāya to battle, ādidēśa commanded

Ravana, who was always victorious in warhearing that Maka raksha had been killed, became highly enraged and grinding his teeth in anger was engrossed in thinking. He commanded his son Indrajith to go to battle.
jahivīra mahāvīryaubhrātaraurāmalakṣmaṇau .

adṛśyōdṛśyamānōvāsarvathātvaṅbalādhikaḥ ।।6.80.3।।


vīra valiant, adṛśyaḥinvisible, dṛśyamānōvāor visible, mahāvīryau great heroes, bhrātarau brothers, rāmalakṣmaṇauRama and Lakshmana, jahi destroy, sarvāthā always, tvam you, balādhikaḥ superior

"Oh, Valiant son! You destroy the two heroic brothers, Rama and Lakshmana, by being visible or invisible as you are always superior to them."
tvamapratimakarmāṇamindraṅjayasisaṅyugē .

kiṅpunarmānuṣaudṛṣṭavā na vadhiṣyasisaṅyugē ।।6.80.4।।


tvam you, saṅyugē in battle, apratimakarmāṇam by incomparable deeds, indram Indra, jayasi won, saṅyugē in combat, mānuṣau men, dṛṣṭavā seeing, kiṅpunaḥ why again, na vadhiṣyasinot kill them

"You have won the battle with Indra of incomparable deeds. Why not kill men, onseeing them in combat?"
tathōktōrākṣasēndrēṇapratigṛhyapiturvacaḥ .

yajñabhūmau sa vidhivat pāvakaṅjuhavēndrajit ।।6.80.5।।


rākṣasēndrēṇa Lord of Rakshasas, tathā thus, uktaḥspoken, saḥhe, indrajitIndrajith, pituḥfather's, vacaḥwords, pratigṛhya respecting, yajñabhūmau place for offering oblations in fire, vidhivat as per tradition, pāvakam fire sacrifice, juhava did

Hearing the words spoken by the Lord of Rakshasas, Indrajith respecting the command poured oblations in the fireas per tradition before proceeding.
juhvataścāpitatrāgniṅraktōṣṇīṣadharāstririyaḥ .

ājagmustatrasambhrāntārākṣasyōyatrarāvaṇiḥ ।।6.80.6।।


tatra thereafter, agnim fire, juhvataḥ ca api went to the place of sacrifice, raktōṣṇīṣadharāḥred coloured head dresses, striyaḥwomen, rāvaṇiḥ Rakshasa women, yatra to that place, tatra there, sambhrāntāḥ to wear, ājagmuḥ brought

Thereafter, as he went to the place of fire sacrifice, Rakshasa women brought red coloured head dresses to wear (for the priests).
śastrāṇiśarapatrāṇisamidhō.thavibhītakāḥ .

lōhitāni ca vāsāṅhisruvaṅkārṣṇāyasaṅtathā ।।6.80.7।।


śarapatrāṇi grass, śastrāṇi weapons, vibhītakāḥ wooden pieces, samidhaḥ as sticks for offering, atha and, lōhitāni red coloured, vāsāṅsi clothes, yathā so also, kārṣṇāyasam iron containers, sruvam as ladles

Then, in that fire sacrifice, weapons as grass, wooden pieces as sticks for offering into fire, red-coloured clothes for the priests to wear, and so also iron containers as ladles to offer in fire were used.
sarvatō.gniṅsamāstīryaśarapatraissatōmaraiḥ .

chāgasyasarvakṛṣṇasyagaḷaṅjagrāhajīvataḥ ।।6.80.8।।


agniṅsarvataḥon all sides of fire sacrifices, satōmaraiḥ spread with weapons, śarapatraiḥ grass, samāstīrya for the sake of offering in fire, jīvataḥ live, sarvakṛṣṇasya entirely dark in colour, chāgasya goat, gaḷam neck, jagrāha consigned

Weapons were spread on all sides of the fire sacrifice like grass. A dark-coloured live goat's neck was consigned for offering into fire.
sakṛdēvasamiddhasyavidhūmasyamahārciṣaḥ .

babhūvustāniliṅgānivijayaṅdarśayanti ca ।।6.80.9।।


sakṛt by that action, hōmasamiddhasya sacrificial fire, vidhūmasya by the smoke, mahārciṣaḥ mighty flames, vijayam signs of victory, darśayanti appeared, tāni in that, liṅkāni signs of, babhūvuḥaroused

By that action of fire sacrifice, the mighty flames and the smoke that appeared from the mighty smokeless fire signifying victory appeared.
pradakṣiṇāvartaśikhastaptahāṭakasannibhaḥ .

havistatpratijagrāhapāvakassvayamutthitaḥ ।।6.80.10।।


pradakṣiṇāvartaśikhaḥ flames of fire going round, taptahāṭakasannibhaḥ like refined gold, pāvakaḥ fire, svayam by itself, utthitaḥarose, tat that, haviḥ offerings into fire, pratijagrāha received

The flames of fire going round the fire by itself which closely resembled refined gold, received the offerings into fire.
hutvāgniṅtarpayitvāthadēvadānavarākṣasān .

ārurōharathaśrēṣṭhamantarthānagataṅśubham ।।6.80.11।।


agnim into fire, hutvā having offered, atha and then, dēvadānavarākṣasān Devas, Danavas, and Rakshasas tarpayitvā offering, antardhānagatam disappeared, śubham auspicious, rathaśrēṣṭham best of chariots, ārurōha ascended

Having offered fire that way, and gratified Devas, Danavas and Rakshasas, he (Indrajith) ascended the best of chariots and disappeared.
sa vājibhiścaturbhistubāṇaiścaniśitairyutaḥ .

ārōpitamahācāpaśśuśubhēsyandanōttamaḥ ।।6.80.12।।


caturbhiḥ the four, vājibhiḥhorses, niśitaiḥsharp, bāṇaiḥ arrows, yutaḥfitted, ārōpitamahācāpaḥ mighty bow, saḥ he, syandanōttamaḥshining exquisitely, śuśubhē charming

Drawn by horses, fitted with sharp mighty bows, the chariot was shining exquisitely and looked charming.
jājvalyamānōvapuṣātapanīyaparicchadaḥ .

mṛgaiścandrārdhacandraiśca sa rathassamalaṅkṛtaḥ ।।6.80.13।।


vapuṣā incarnated, jājvalyamānaḥglittering, tapanīyaparicchadaḥcovered with golden, saḥ that, rathaḥchariot, mṛgaiḥimages of antelopes, candrārdhacandraiśca full moon and crescents as inscriptions, samalaṅkṛtaḥdecorated

The chariot was glittering incarnated with gold covered with images offull moon, crescent moon inscriptions and decorated with images of antelopes.
jāmbūnadamahākamburdīptapāvakasannibhaḥ .

babhūvēndrajitaḥkēturvaidūryasamalaṅkṛtaḥ ।।6.80.14।।


jāmbūnadamahākambuḥrings of gold, dīptapāvakasannibhaḥ glowing like fire, indrajitaḥIndrajith, kētuḥ standard, vaiḍūryasamalaṅkṛtaḥadorned with gems of Vydurya, babhūva it was

Like flaming fire in appearance, the chariot was provided with rings of gold, the standard of the chariot was adorned with gems of Vydurya.
tēnacādityakalpēnabrahmāstraṇa ca pālitaḥ .

sa babhūvadurādharṣōrāvaṇissumahābalaḥ ।।6.80.15।।


ādityakalpēna effulgent as the orbit of the sun, tēnabrahmārstēṇa by that weapon of Brahma, pālitaḥruled, sumahābalaḥ of mighty prowess, saḥrāvaṇiḥRavani /son of Ravana, durādharṣaḥdifficult to gain over, babhūvaappeared

Protected by the weapon of Brahma, effulgent as the orbit of the Sun, the son of Ravana was endowed with mighty prowess and was difficult to gain over.
sō.bhiniryāyanagarādindrajitsamitiñjayaḥ .

hatvāgniṅrākṣasairmantrairantardhānagatō.bravīt ।।6.80.16।।


samitiñjayaḥwho had acquired the power of being victorious in the wars, saḥindrajit Indrajith, rākṣasaiḥfor Rakshasas, by Rakshasas mantrai: uttering ritualistic verses, agnim in fire, hutvā offering, nagarāt from the city, abhiniryāya departed, antardhānagataḥdisappeared, abravīt bragged as follows

Indrajith who had acquired the power of being victorious in the wars departed, after uttering ritualistic verses which are known to Rakshasas only and making an offering into fire disappeared and bragged as follows.
adyahatvāraṇēyautaumithyāpravrajitauvanē .

jayaṅpitrēpradāsyāmirāvaṇāyaraṇārjitam ।।6.80.17।।


yau in which, vanē forest, midhyāpravrajitau who are in exile in vain, tau those two, raṇaē in war, adya now, hatvā end, pitrē father, rāvaṇāya Ravana's, raṇārjitam earned by waging war, jayam victory, pradāsyāmiwill give

"Having put an end to war, and the two princes who are in exile in the forest in vain, I will present the victory earned to my father now."
adyanirvānaramurvīṅhatvārāmaṅsalakṣmaṇam .

kariṣyēparamāṅprītimityuktvāntaradhīyata ।।6.80.18।।


adya now, urvīm earth, nirvānarāṅ devoid of monkeys, rāmam Rama, lakṣmaṇaṅ ca and Lakshmana, hatvā killing, paramām supreme, prītim joy, kariṣyē provide, iti thus, uktvā having spoken, antaradhīyata invisible

'Making the earth devoid of monkeys, killing Rama and Lakshmana, I will provide supreme joy to my father now', saying so he became invisible.
āpapātathasaṅkṛddhōdaśagrīvēṇacōditaḥ .

tīkṣaṇakārmukanārācaistīkṣaṇastvindraripūraṇē ।।6.80.19।।


tīkṣaṇakārmukanārācaiḥ equipped with sharp bows, raṇē in war, tīkṣaṇaḥ sharp, indraripuḥ Indra's enemy, daśagrīvēṇa ten-headed, cōditaḥdirected by, atha and then, saṅkṛddhaḥfuriously, papāta rushed

Directed by the ten headed Ravana, enemy of Indra, equipped with sharp bows Indrajith rushed furiously.
sa dadarśamahāvīryaunāgautriśirasāniva .

sṛjantāviṣujālānivīrauvānaramadhyagau ।।6.80.20।।


saḥ he, mahāvīryau great hero, triśirasā like three, nāgauiva like serpents, iṣujālāni discharging arrows, sṛjantau raining, vānaramadhyagau in the midst of Vanaras, vīrau heroes, dadarśa saw

That great hero saw Rama and Lakshmana like three serpents in the midst of Vanaras raining network of arrows.
imautāvitisañcintyasajjaṅkṛtvā ca kārmukam .

santatānēṣudhārābhiḥparjanyaivavṛṣṭimān ।।6.80.21।।


imau these, tau two, itirecognising, sañcintya stringing, kārmukam the bow, sajjam fastening, kṛtvā affixing, vṛṣṭimān raining cloud, parjanyaḥiva like rain, iṣudārābhiḥ with continuous flow of arrows, santatāna covered

Recognising the two princes, stringing his bow, and fastening, affixing he showered a continuous flow of arrows like rain from rain clouds and covered them.
tuvaihāyasaṅprāpyasarathōrāmalakṣmaṇau .

ācakṣurviṣayētiṣṭhavanivyādhaniśitaiśśaraiḥ ।।6.80.22।।


sarathaḥriding in the aerial car, saḥhe, vaihāyasam from the sky, prāpya released, ācakṣurviṣayē remaining out of sight, tiṣṭhan standing, niśitaiḥpointed, śaraiḥ arrows, rāmalakṣmaṇau on Rama and Lakshmana, vivyādhatormented

Riding in the aerial car, Indrajith remaining out of sight released pointed arrows from the sky and tormented Rama and Lakshmana standing in the battlefield.
tautasyaśaravēgēnaparītaurāmalakṣmaṇau .

dhanuṣīsaśarēkṛtvādivyamastraṅpracakratuḥ ।।6.80.23।।


tasya by the, śaravēgēna speed of the arrows, parītau covered, taurāmalakṣmaṇau both Rama and Lakshman, dhanuṣī bows, saśarē and arrows, kṛtvā discharging, divyam wonderful, astram weapon, pracakratuḥ exhibited

Covered by the speed of the arrows released on them, both Rama and Lakshmana wielding their bows and arrows discharged wonderful arrows and exhibited their power.
pracchādayantaugaganaṅśarajālairmahābalau .

tamastraḥsūryasaṅkāśairnaivapaspṛśatuśśaraiḥ ।।6.80.24।।


mahābalau mighty, śarajālaiḥnet of arrows, gaganam sky, pracchādayantaucovering, sūryasaṅkāśaiḥresembling sun, astraḥweapons, śaraiḥ arrows, tam they, na paspṛśatuḥnot touch

Though the mighty Rama and Lakshmana were covering the sky with their arrows resembling the sun they could not touch Indrajith.
sa hidhūmāndhakāraṅ ca cakrēpraccādayannabhaḥ .

diśaścāntardadhēśrīmānnīhāratamasāvṛtāḥ ।।6.80.25।।


saḥhe, sabhaḥsky, pracchādayan obscured, dhūmāndhakāram darkness through smoke, cakrē did, śrīmān glorious, nīhāratamasādarkness through fog, vṛtāḥsurrounded, diśaśca directions, antardadhē invisible

The glorious Indrajith obscured the sky by making it dark through smoke and fog and made the surrounding directions invisible.
naivajyātalanirghōṣā na ca nēmikhurasvanaḥ .

śuśruvēcaratastasya na ca rūpaṅprakāśatē ।।6.80.26।।


tasya his, carataḥ movement, jyātalanirghōṣaḥsound produced by the palms, naivaśuśruvē nor the sounds, nimukharasarvanaḥca of the wheels or ho of s of horses, na ca not heard, rūpaṅ ca form also, na prakāśatē not visible

While Indrajith was moving, neither the sounds produced by palms or of the wheels or the hoof s were heard and the form was also not visible.,
ghanāndhakārētimirēśarāvarṣamivādbhutam .

sa vavarṣamahābāhurnārācaśaravṛṣṭibhiḥ ।।6.80.27।।


mahābāhuḥ mighty armed, saḥhe, ghānandhakārē like the darkness of clouds, timirē darkness, nārācaśaravṛṣṭibhiḥrain of rocks and hails of steel arrows, adbhutam wonderful, śaravarṣamiva rain of arrows, vavarṣa showered

The mighty armed Indrajith showered rocks and hails of steel arrows in that pitch darkness like the darkness of clouds.
sa rāmaṅsūryasaṅkāśaiśśarairdhattavarōrbhṛśam .

vivyādhasamarēkruddhaḥsarvagātrēṣurāvaṇiḥ ।।6.80.28।।


samarē in conflict, kruddhaḥangry, saḥ he, rāvaṇiḥ Ravana's son, dattavaraiḥboons bestowed, sūryasaṅkāśaiḥ effulgent as the sun, śaraiḥ arrows, rāmam on Rama, sarvagātrēṣu all over the limbs, bhṛśam grievously, vivyādha pierced

In that conflict, the enraged son of Ravana, pierced all over Rama's limbs, with arrows bestowed to him, which were as effulgent as the Sun.
tauhanyamānaunārācairdhārābhirivaparvatau .

hēmapuṅkhānnaravyāghrautigmānmumucatuḥśarān ।।6.80.29।।


dhārābhiḥ flow of arrows, parvatauiva like two mountains, nārācaiḥsteel arrows, hanyamānau tormented, naravyāghrau tiger among humans, tau two of them, hēmapuṅkhān golden shafted arrows, tigmān sharp pointed, śarān arrows, mumucatuḥreleased

The tigers among humans, Rama, and Lakshmana, like two mountains hit by steel arrows, released sharp pointedgold shafted steel arrows and tormented (Indrajith).
antarikṣēsamāsādyarāvaṇiṅkaṅkapatriṇaḥ .

nikṛtyapatagābhūmausētustēśōṇitōkṣitāḥ ।।6.80.30।।


kaṅkapatriṇaḥ arrows fixed with swords, tē those, patagāḥ wings, antarikṣēḥ sky, rāvaṇim at Ravana's son, samāsādya reaching, nikṛtya piercing him, śōṇitōkṣitāḥ soaked in blood, bhūmau on ground, pētuḥfell

The arrows fixed with swords like wings, reaching Ravana's son in the sky pierced him and he fell down soaked in blood.
atimātraṅśaraughēṇapīḍyamānaunarōttamau .

tāniṣūnpatatōbhallairanēkairvicakartatuḥ ।।6.80.31।।


śaraughēṇa by the mass of arrows, atimātram brightened, pīḍyamānau hurt, narōttamau best of men, patataḥfalling, tān them, iṣūn arrows, anēkaiḥnumerous, bhallaiḥBhallas, vicakartatuḥtear

Brightened by the mass of arrows on their body, the best of men, Rama and Lakshmana began to tear the numerous arrows called Bhallas.
yatōhidadṛśātētauśarān nipatitānśitān .

tatastutaudāśarathīsasṛjātē.stramuttamam ।।6.80.32।।


tau both, yataḥ that way, nipatitān falling, śitān sharp, śarān arrows, dadṛśātē from which direction, tataḥ then, tau they both dāśarathī on sons of Dasharatha, uttamam best, astram weapon, sasṛjātēdirected

Both the sons of Dasharatha, directed their best weapons in the direction from where arrows were falling on two of them.
rāvaṇistudiśassarvārathēnātirathō.patat .

vivyādhataudāśarathīlaghvastraniśitaiḥśaraiḥ ।।6.80.33।।


atirathaḥgood chariot warrior, rāvaṇistu son of Ravana also, rathēna from the aerial car, sarvāḥ all, diśaḥdirections, āpatat coursed, laghvastraḥ swift in discharging, taudāśarathī two sons of Dasharatha, niśitaiḥ pointed, śaraiḥ arrows, vivyādha pierced

The son of Ravana who was a superior chariot warrior and swift in discharging arrows coursed through all directions and pierced arrows at Rama and Lakshmana from the aerial car.
tēnātividdhautauvīraurukmapuṅkhaiḥsusamhataiḥ .

babhūvaturdhāśarathīpuṣpitāmivakiṅśukau ।।6.80.34।।


susamhataiḥ well-made fully stretched, rukmapuṅkhaiḥ gold shafted arrows, tēna by that, atividdhau severely hurt, vīrau heroes, taudāśarathī both sons of Dasharatha, puṣpitau in blossom, kiṅśukauiva like Kimsuka, babhūvatuḥappeared

Both the sons of Dasharatha looked like fully blossomed Kimsuka trees (blood flowing from the body) pierced by well-made gold shafted arrows.
nāsyavēgagatiṅkacaśinna ca rūpaṅdhanuśśarān .

na cānyadviditaṅkiñcitsūryasyēvābhrasamplavē ।।6.80.35।।


vābhrasamplavē thickly cast with clouds, sūryasyēva except the position of sun, asya his, vēgagatim swift movement, kacaśit is not known, na neither, rūpam form, dhanuḥbow, śarān arrows, na not, anyat other than, kiñcit even a little, na viditam not visible

When the clouds are cast thickly, except the position of the Sun, nothing is visible. So also, with a swift movement of Indrajith, neither his form nor his bow and arrows were visible.
tēnaviddhāścaharayōnihatāścagatāsavaḥ .

babhūvuḥśataśastatrapatitādharaṇītalē ।।6.80.36।।


tēna then, viddhāḥstruck, harayaḥ monkeys, nihatāḥkilled, gatāsavaḥ ceased of life, śataśaḥhundreds, tatra there, dharaṇītalē on ground, patitāḥfallen, babhūvuḥseen

Then, monkeys struck and killed, lifelessin hundreds fell on the ground.
lakṣmaṇastutatassuṅkrṛddhōbhrātaraṅvākyamabravīt .

brāhmamastraṅprayōkṣyāmivadhārthaṅsarvarakṣasām ।।6.80.37।।


tataḥ there, lakṣmaṇastu even Lakshmana, saṅkrṛddhaḥ enraged, bhrātaram brother, vākyam words, abravīt spoke, sarvarakṣasām all the Rakshasas, vadhārtham will kill, brāhmam astram by Brahma's weapon, prayōkṣyāmiwill use

Then Lakshmana also, enraged, spoke to his brother, saying," I will kill all the Rakshasas using the weapon of Brahma."
tamuvācatatōrāmōlakṣmaṇaṅśubhalakṣaṇam .

naikasyahētōrakṣāṅsipṛthivyāṅhantumarhasi ।।6.80.38।।


tataḥ then, rāmaḥ Rama, śubhalakṣaṇam gifted with auspicious signs, taṅlakṣmaṇam that Lakshmana, uvāca said, ēkasyahētōḥ for the sake of one, pṛthivyām on the earth, rakṣāṅsi Rakshasas, hantum killing, na arhasi ought not

To Lakshmana, gifted with auspicious signs, Rama said" for the sake of killing one Rakshasa, you are not to kill all the Rakshasas on the earth."
ayudhyamānaṅpracchannaṅprāñjaliṅśaraṇāgatam .

palāyamānaṅmattaṅvā na hantuṅtvamihārhasi ।।6.80.39।।


iha here, tvam you, ayudhyamānam without waging war, pracchannam not fighting, has hidden, prāñjalim folded palms, śaraṇāgatam one who surrenders, palāyamānam one who runs away, mattaṅvā not alert, hantum to kill, na arhasiought not

"You should not kill anyone who is not waging war, not fighting and hidden, one with folded palms surrendered, one who runs away from war and not alert in war"
asyaivatuvadhēyatnaṅkariṣyāvōmahābhuja .

ādēkṣyāvōmahāvēgāvastrānāśīviṣōpamān ।।6.80.40।।


mahābhuja mighty armed, asyaiva I will, vadhē kill, yatnam effort, kariṣyāvaḥwill make, mahāvēgān endowed with high speed, āśīviṣōpamān venomous serpents, astrān weapons, ādēkṣyāvaḥwill command

"O mighty armed Lakshmana! I will make an effort to kill Indrajith by commanding weapons like venomous serpents endowed with high speed."
tamēnaṅmāyinaṅkṣudramantarhitarathaṅbalāt .

rākṣasaṅnihaniṣyantidṛṣṭavāvānarayūthapāḥ ।।6.80.41।।


māyinam conjurer, kṣudram mean, antarhitaratham invisible with chariot tamēnaṅ if seen, ēnam in any way, rākṣasam Rakshasa, dṛṣṭavā seeing, vānarayūthapāḥVanara troops, balāt strength, nihaniṣyanti forcibly kill

" A conjurer, mean, and invisible Indrajith with the chariot, if seen, in any way the Vanara troops will forcibly kill him with their strength."
yadyēṣabhūmiṅviśatēdivaṅvārasātalaṅvāpinabhassthalaṅvā .

ēvaṅnigūḍhō.mamāstradagdhaḥpatiṣyatēbhūmitalēgatāsuḥ ।।6.80.42।।


yadyēṣaḥ by himself, bhūmim into earth, viśatēyadienters also, divaṅvā heaven or, rasātalaṅvāpi underground, nabhastalaṅvā subterranean world, ēvam in that way, nigūḍhō.pi remains hidden, mamamy, astradagdhaḥweapon, gatāsuḥ consumed, bhūmitalē on the ground, patiṣyatēwill fall

"If he enters into earth, heaven or the underground world or the subterranean world or remains hidden, my weapon will consume him, and he will fall on earth."
ityēvamuktvāvacanaṅmahātmāraghupravīraḥplavagarṣabhairvṛtaḥ .

vadhāyaraudrasyanṛśaṅsakarmaṇastadāmahātmātvaritaṅnirīkṣatē ।।6.80.43।।

The great soul Sri Rama, having spoken in a meaningful manner, began to reflect on the means of killing Indrajith swiftly as the leaders of Vanaras surrounded him and awaited.
