Meanwhile Rama traveled further and further away from his father's kingdom. The chariot raced on reaching the southern frontiers of Kosala where fields were being readied for the sowing of grain. Flowering woods and cozy villages competed for Rama's attention, as he passed homes and hamlets hearing people accuse Kaikeyi. Many miles after, he crossed the boundaries of that region and later the river Vedasruti to reach the land of Agastya.
