স: অপি he (Valmiki) also, ব্রহ্মণা by lord Brahma, সমনুজ্ঞাত: having been asked, আসনে in the seat, উপাবিশত্ sat down, তদা then, তস্মিন্ সর্বলোকপিতামহে when that lord Brahma, the grand-sire of the worlds, (সাক্ষাত্ in the presence), উপবিষ্টে having been seated, বাল্মীকি: Valmiki, তদ্গতেন এব set only on events (leading to the death of the krauncha bird), মনসা by his mind, ধ্যানম্ thoughts, আস্থিত: was absorbed.
