Sita prays to Ganga 2.52.82-91

‘You flow across the world of Brahma, Maheswara and Visnu’. It is because, Ganga is held in the kamandalam of Brahma, then she flows from the matted locks of Shiva and finally from the feet of Visnu. (Shankara Bhagavadpada writes in his Gangastaka).’
They killed a spotted deer and a black deer, as they were very hungry. They just roasted it in fire and ate it. They were not brahmins and so, were not prohibited. Besides, they offered it first to the gods before they ate the flesh.
