āryē O venerable one!, rāghavaḥ Rama, striyāḥ a woman's, vākyavaśaṅ gataḥ yielding to the words, rājyaśriyam the welfare of the kingdom, tyaktvā renouncing, vanam to the forest, gacchēt (iti) yat should go , ētat all this, mamāpi to me also, na rōcatē is not pleasing.
O venerable one, I do not like that Rama should go to the forest yielding to the words of a woman and renouncing the welfare of the kingdom.
