praharṣitāḥ kētakapuṣpagandha-

māghrāya hṛṣṭā vananirjharēṣu.

prapātaśabdākulitā gajēndrā-

ssārdhaṅ mayūrai ssamadā nadanti4.28.28৷৷

Translation

kētakapuṣpagandham fragrance of Ketaki flowers, āghrāya enjoying the smell, praharṣitāḥ joyously, gajēndrāḥ elephants, mattāḥ lordly, vananirjharēṣu in the waterfalls, prapātaśabdāḥ disturbed by the sound of water falling, samadāḥ intoxicated ones, mayūraiḥ sārdham with peacocks,nadanti trumpet.

'The lordly elephants get intoxicated with the fragrance of ketaki flowers, the noise of waterfalls and the cackle of peacocks and they give out a shrill trumpet.
