[Instructed by Rama, Hanuman informs Guha and Bharata about Rama's arrival.]

अयोध्यांतुसमालोक्यचिन्तयामासराघवः ।

प्रियकामःप्रियंरामस्ततस्त्वरितविक्रमः ।।6.128.1।।


ततः thereupon, राघवः Raghava, त्वरितविक्रमः quick in exhibiting prowess, रामः Rama, अयोध्याम् Ayodhya, समालोक्य with friends प्रियकामः wished, प्रियम् dear, चिन्तयामास started thinking

There upon Raghava who was quick in exhibiting his prowess started thinking with his friends looking at Ayodhya (from Pushpaka).
चिन्तयित्वाततोदृष्टिंवानरेषुन्यपातयत् ।

उवाचधीमांस्तेजस्वीहनूमन्तंप्लवङ्गमम् ।।6.128.2।।


ततः then, धीमान् wise, तेजस्वी energetic, चिन्तयित्वा thinking, वानरेषु to Vanaras, दृष्टिम् mind, न्यपातयत् casting his attention, प्लवङ्गमम् monkeys, हनूमन्तम् Hanumantha, उवाच spoke

Then wise and energetic Rama, thinking, casting his attention on the Vanaras, spoke to Hanuman.
अयोध्यांत्वरितोगत्वाशीघ्रंप्लवगसत्तम ।

जानीहिकछचित्कुशलीजनोनृपतिमन्दिरे ।।6.128.3।।


प्लवगसत्तम chief of monkeys, त्वरितः going quickly, अयोध्याम् Ayodhya, शीघ्रम् hastily, गत्वा going, नृपतिमन्दिरे king's mansion, जनः people, कुशलीकचचित् wellbeing, जानीहि try to know

"Chief of monkeys! Going quickly to the king's mansion in Ayodhya try to find out about the wellbeing of the people."
शृङ्गबेरिपुरंप्राप्यगुहंगहनगोचरम् ।

निषादाधिपतिंब्रूहिकुशलंवचनान्मम ।।6.128.4।।


शृङ्गबेरिपुरम् Sringaberipuram, गत्वा going, गहनगोचरम् seen from the sky, निषादाधिपतिम् leader of Nishadas, गुहम् Guha, मम my, वचनात् words of inquiry, कुशलम् wellbeing, ब्रूहि tell

"Go to Sringaberipuram which is seen from the sky, meet Guha the leader of Nishadas and tell him of my inquiry and wellbeing."
श्रुत्वातुमांकुशलिनमरोगंविगतज्वरम् ।

भविष्यतिगुहःप्रीतस्सममात्मसमस्सखा ।।6.128.5।।


माम् my, कुशलिनम् wellbeing, आरोगम् in good health, विगतज्वरम् free from anxiety, श्रुत्वा hearing, गुहः Guha, प्रीतः very happy, भविष्यति will feel, सः he, मम my, आत्मसमः equal to me, सखा friend

"He will be very happy to hear that I am in good health free from anxiety. He is equal to me and my friend."
अयोध्यायाश्चतेमार्गंप्रवृत्तिंभरतस्य च ।

निवेदयिष्यतिप्रीतोनिषादाधिपतिर्गुहः ।।6.128.6।।


प्रीतः dear, निषादाधिपतिः king of Nishadas गुहः Guha, ते to you, अयोध्यायाः to Ayodhya मार्गम् way, भरतस्य Bharata's, प्रवृत्तिंचnature, निवेदयिष्यति will reveal you

"Dear Guha, the king of Nishadas will tell you the way to Ayodhya and Bharata's nature."
भरतस्तुत्वयावाच्यःकुशलंवचनान्मम ।

सिद्धार्थंशंसमांतस्मैसभार्यंसहलक्ष्मणम् ।।6.128.7।।


भरतःतु Bharata also, मम my, वचनात् with my words, कुशलम् wellbeing, वाच्यः words of inquiry, सभार्यम् with wife, सहलक्ष्मणम् with Lakshmana, माम् me, सिद्धार्थम् accomplished, तस्मै your, शंस doubt

"Please tell Bharata my words of inquiry of his wellbeing and that having accomplished my purpose I returned with my wife and Lakshmana."
हरणंचापिवैदेह्यारावणेनबलीयसा ।

सुग्रीवेण च सम्वादंवालिनश्चवधंरणे ।।6.128.8।।


बलीयसा strong, रावणेन by Ravana, वैदेह्याः Vaidehi, हरणम् abduction, सुग्रीवेण by Sugriva, संवादं च friendship, रणे in combat, वालिनः Vali, वधम् killing

"O powerful Hanuman! you may tell him of the abduction of Vaidehi by Ravana, my friendship with Sugriva and killing of Vali in combat."
मैथिल्यन्वेषणंचैवयथाचाधिगतात्वया ।

लङ्घयित्वामहातोयमापगापतिमव्ययम् ।।6.128.9।।


मैथिल्यन्वेषणंचैव search for Mythili, त्वया by you, महातोयम् huge ocean, अव्ययम् never decreasing, आपगापतिम् vast stretch of water, लङ्घयित्वा leaping across, यथआ similarly, अधिगता finding Sita

"You may tell him of the search for Mythili by you, crossing the vast never decreasing stretch of water, leaping across and finding Sita."
उपयानंसमुद्रस्यसागरस्य च दर्शनम् ।

यथा च कारितस्सेतूरावणश्चयथाहतः ।।6.128.10।।


समुद्रस्य ocean's, उपयानम् going near, सागरस्य ocean, दर्शनं च appearing before me, सेतुः, यथा so also, कारितः bridge, रावणश्च Ravana, यथा so also, हतः killed

" Also, about my going near ocean and his (Ocean god) appearance before me, construction of the bridge killing of Ravana."
वरदानंमहेन्द्रेणब्रह्मणावरुणेन च ।

महादेवप्रसादाच्छपित्राममसमागमम् ।।6.128.11।।


महेन्द्रेण by Mahendra, ब्रह्मणा by Brahma, वरुणेन च by Varuna, वरदानम् bestowing boon, महादेवप्रसादेन by the grace of Mahadeva, पित्रा father, मम me, समागमम् meeting

" About Mahendra accompanied by Brahma and Varuna bestowing boon and by the grace of Mahadeva and meeting my father."
उपयातं च मांसौम्य भरतायनिवेदय ।

सहराक्षसराजेनहरीणामीश्वरेण च ।।6.128.12।।


सौम्य Gentle, माम् me, राक्षसराजेनसह with Rakshasa king, हरीणाम् with Vanaras, ईश्वरेण Lord of, उपयातम् coming, भरताय Bharata, निवेदय tell him

"Gentle Hanuman! tell him about my coming with Sugriva the king of Vanaras, and king of Rakshasas, Vibheeshana."
जित्वाशत्रुगणान्रामःप्राप्यचानुत्तमंयशः ।

उपायानंसमृद्धार्थस्सहमित्रैर्महाबलैः ।।6.128.13।।


रामः Rama, शत्रुगणान् hosts of enemies, जित्वा conquering, अनुत्तमाम् unsurpassed, यशः fame, प्राप्य च attained, समृद्धार्थः accomplished the purpose, महाबलैः mighty strong, मित्रैःसह with friends, उपायानं returned

"Tell him that Rama , after conquering hosts of enemies, attaining unsurpassed fame, accomplished his purpose, has returned with mighty friends."
एतच्छ्रुत्वायमाकारंभजतेभरतस्ततः ।

स च तेवेदितव्यःस्यात्सर्वंयच्छापिमांप्रति ।।6.128.14।।


एतत् all this, श्रुत्वा listening, ततः then, भरतःBharata, यम् his, आकारम् form, भजते appears, सः च true, ते you, वेदितव्यः knowing, मांप्रति to me in turn, यच्छापि his expression, स्यात् check, सर्वम् all

"Listening to Bharata, and seeing his form, expression on hearing this news and knowing his intent, checking all this you may return to me."
ज्ञेयाःसर्वे च वृत्तान्ताःभरतस्येङ्गितानि च ।

तत्त्वेनमुखवर्णेनदृष्ट्याव्याभाषितेन च ।।6.128.15।।


सर्वे च everything, वृत्तान्ताः information, ज्ञेयाः knowing, मुखवर्णेन facial colour, दृष्ट्या expression, व्याभाषितेन च by his speech, भरतस्यBharata's, इङ्गितानि intention, तत्त्वतःtruly, ज्ञेयाः ascertained

" All the information, everything to be known by his facial colour, expression, by his speech, his intention to be ascertained truly."
सर्वकालसमृद्धंहिहस्त्यश्वरथसङ्कुलम् ।

पितृपैतामहंराज्यंकस्यनावर्तयेन्मनः ।।6.128.16।।


सर्वकालसमृद्धम् abundant in all seasons, हस्त्यश्वरथसङ्कुलम् hordes of elephants and horses, पितृपैतामहम् father and grandfathers, राज्यम् kingdom, कस्य whose, मनः mind, न आवर्तयेत् not tempt

"Whose mind will not be tempted at the abundance of elephants and horses of father's and grandfather's kingdom?"
सङ्गत्याभरत्श्रीमान् राज्येनार्थीस्वयंभवेत् ।

प्रशास्तुवसुधांसर्वामखिलांरघुनन्दनः ।।6.128.17।।


श्रीमान् glorious, भरतः Bharata, सङ्गत्या meeting, राज्येन in the kingdom, अर्थी, स्वयम् by himself, भवेत् become, रघुनन्दनः enhancer of the joy of Raghus, सर्वाम् all, अखिलाम् entire, वसुधाम् on the earth, प्रशास्तु lauded

"If the glorious Bharata who is an enhancer of the joy of Raghus having enjoyed the kingdom for long himself, let him rule all the entire earth it is laudable."
तस्यबुद्धिं च विज्ञायव्यवसायं च वानर ।

यावन्नदूरंयाताःस्मक्षिप्रमागन्तुमर्हसि ।।6.128.18।।


वानर Hanuman the Vanara, तस्य your, बुद्धिम् mind, व्यवसायं च making effort, विज्ञाय knowing, यावत् all, दूरम्distance, न याताःस्म before we go, क्षिप्रम् quickly, आगन्तुम् reach, अर्हसि ought to

"Hanuman, making an effort to know his mind you ought to come quickly before we go too far a distance."
इतिप्रतिसमादिष्टोहनूमान्मारुतात्मजः ।

मानुषःधारयनृपमयोध्यांत्वरितोययौ ।।6.128.19।।


इति thus, प्रतिसमादिष्टः commanded, मारुतात्मजः son of Maruti, हनुमान् Hanuman, त्वरितः speedily, मानुषंरूपम् human form, धारयन् taking, अयोध्याम् to Ayodhya, ययौ went

Commanded like that Hanuman went speedily taking human form to Ayodhya.
अतोत्पपातवेगेनहनूमान्मारुतात्मजः ।

गरुत्मानिववेगेनजिघृक्षन्पन्नगोत्तमम् ।।6.128.20।।


अथ and then, मारुतात्मजंहनूमान् Hanuman, the son of Maruti, पन्नगोत्तमम् the best of serpents, वेगेन at great speed, जिघृक्षन् vanquish, गरुत्मानिव like Garuda, वेगेन speedily, उत्पपात rose

Then Hanuman rose up just like Garuda who goes at great speed to vanquish the best of serpents.
लङ्घयित्वापितृपथंविहगेन्द्रालयंशुभम् ।

गङ्गायमुनयोर्भीमंसमतीत्यसमागमम् ।।6.128.21।।

शृङ्गबेरपुरंप्राप्यगुहमासाद्यवीर्यवान् ।

स वाचाशुभयाहृष्टोहनुमानिदमब्रवीत् ।।6.128.22।।


वीर्यवान् valiant, सःहनुमान् that Hanuman, विहगेन्द्रालयम् the course of the birds, शुभम् auspicious, पितृपथम् path of wind god, लङ्घयित्वा leaping, गङ्गायमुनयोः Ganga and Yamuna, भीमम् frightening, समागमम् confluence, समतीत्य reaching, शृङ्गबेरिपुरम् Sringaberipuram, प्राप्य attaining, गुहम् Guha, आसाद्य seeing, हृष्टः joyful, शुभया charming, वाचा words, इदम् thus, अब्रवीत् spoke

Valiant Hanuman, flying through the course of the birds, through the auspicious path of the wind god, leaping across Ganga and Yamuna, reached Sringaberipuram, saw Guha, rejoiced and thus spoke charming words.
सखातुतवकाकुत्स्थोरामस्सत्यपराक्रमः ।

ससीतस्सहसौमित्रिस्सत्वांकुशलमब्रवीत् ।।6.128.23।।


तव your, सखा friend, काकुत्स्थ: Kakuthsa, सत्यपराक्रमः truly valiant, ससीतः with Sita, सहसौमित्रिः with Saumithri, सःरामः he, Rama, त्वाम् you, कुशलम् welfare, अब्रवीत् said

"Your friend Rama, truly valiant one, with his wife Sita, with Lakshmana conveys his welfare to you."
पञ्चमीमद्यरजनीमुषित्वावचनान्मुनेः ।

भरद्वाजाभ्यनुज्ञातंद्रक्ष्यस्यद्यैवराघवम् ।।6.128.24।।


अद्य today, मुनेः sage, वचनात् by the words, पञ्चमीम् fifth, रजनीम् night, उषित्वा night, भरद्वाजाभ्यनुज्ञातम् with the permission of Bharadvaja, राघवम् Raghava, अद्यैव morning, द्रक्ष्यसि you will see

"Tomorrow that is the fifth lunar day, after spending the night at sage Bharadwaja's hermitage Raghava will see you."
एवमुक्त्वामहातेजास्सम्प्रहृष्टतनूरुहः ।

उत्पपातमहावेगाद्वेगवान्विचारयन् ।।6.128.25।।


महातेजाः highly energetic, सम्प्रहृष्टतनूरुहः thrilled overcome by happiness, वेगवान् endowed with speed, अविचारयन् not caring for the fatigue, महावेगात् swift moving, उत्पपात went up

Highly energetic Hanuman, was thrilled, overcome with happiness (that he was able to communicate to Guha) and unmindful of the fatigue, being endowed with speed and swift movement, went up.
सोऽपश्यद्रामतीर्थं च नदींवालुकिनींतथा ।

वरूथींगोमतींचैवभीमंशालवनंतथा ।।6.128.26।।

प्रजाश्चबहुसाहस्रीःस्फीतान्जनपदानपि ।


सः he, रामतीर्थं च, Rama waters तथा so also, वालुकिनींनदीम् Valukini, वरूथीम् Varuthimi, गोमतींचैव Gomathi, तथा so also, भीमम् fearful, शालवनम् Sal woods, बहुसाहस्रीः many thousands, प्रजाश्च people, स्फीतान् numerous, जनपदानपि kingdoms, अपश्यत् saw

He saw waters associated with Parasurama, and rivers Valukini, Varuthini, and Gomathi so also fearful woods of Sala trees and thousands of people, numerous kingdoms on the way.
सःगत्वादूरमध्वानंत्वरितःकपिकुञ्जरः ।।6.128.27।।

आससादद्रुमान् फुल्लान्नन्दिग्रामसमीपगान् ।

स्त्रीभिस्सपुत्रैर्वृद्धैश्चरममाणैःस्वलङ्कृतैः ।

सुराधिपस्योपवनेयथाचैत्ररथेद्रुमान् ।।6.128.28।।


सः he, कपिकुञ्जरः elephant among monkeys, त्वरितः soon, दूरम् distance, अध्वानम् speeding on the journey, गत्वा going, स्त्रीभिः women, सपुत्रैः their sons, स्वलङ्कृतैः well decorated, रममाणैः sporting, वृद्धैश्चज old people, सुराधिपस्य like that of Indra, उपवने gardens, चैत्ररथे Chaitraratha, द्रुमान्यथा trees, नन्दिग्रामसमीपगान् close by Nandigrama, फुल्लान् blossoms, द्रुमान् trees, आससाद reached

Speeding on the journey for long distance Hanuman, the elephant among the monkeys saw women, their sons, grand sons and the old, well decorated, sporting in the gardens which were like the gardens of Indra and the gardens of Chaitraratha of Kubera with trees and close to Nandigrama, he saw trees full of blossoms.
क्रोशमात्रेत्वयोध्यायाचशीरकृष्णाजिनम्बरम् ।।6.128.29।।

ददर्शभरतंदीनंकृशमाश्रमवासिनम् ।

जटिलंमलदिग्धाङ्गंभ्रातृव्यसनकर्शितम् ।।6.128.30 ।

फलमूलाशिनंदान्तंतापसंधर्मचारिणम् ।

समुन्नतजटाभारंवल्कलाजिनवाससम् ।।6.128.31।।

नियतंभावितात्मानंब्रह्मर्षिसमतेजसम् ।

पादुकेतेपुरस्कृत्यप्रशासन्तंवसुन्धराम् ।।6.128.32 ।

चातुर्वर्णस्यलोकस्यत्रातारंमहतोभयात् ।

उपस्थितममात्यैश्चशुचिभिश्चपुरोहितैः ।।6.128.33।।

बलमुख्यैश्चयुक्तैश्चकाषायाम्बरदारिभिः ।


अयोध्यायाः in Ayodhya, क्रोशमात्रे two miles distance, चीरकृष्णाजिनाम्बरम् wearing the skin of antelope, दीनम् piteously, कृशम् emaciated, जटिलम् miserable, मलदिग्धाङ्गम् dirty without any cleaning, भ्रातृव्यसनकर्शितम् afflicted by the separation of the brother, फलमूलशिनम् living on fruits and roots, दान्तम् subdued, तापसम् practicing austerities, धर्मचारिणम् following righteous practices, समुन्नतजटाभारम् very high matted hair, वल्कलाजिनवाससम् wearing upper part with bark, नियतम् disciplined, भावितात्मानम् whose soul is purified by meditation, ब्रह्मर्षिसमतेजसम् like Brahmarshi in brilliance, ते your, पादुके sandals, पुरस्कृत्य placing, वसुन्धराम् on the ground, प्रशासन्तम् ruling, चातुर्वर्ण्यस्य all the four divisions, लोकस्य of the world, सर्वतःall sides, भयात् from fear, त्रातारम् protecting, शुचिभिः upright, अमात्यैश्च ministers, पुरोहितैः priests, युक्तै: united with, बलमुख्यैश्च chiefs of army, उपस्थितम् stood, आश्रमवासिनम् living in the hermitage, भरतम् Bharata, ददर्श saw

' At a distance of two miles from Ayodhya, Hanuman saw Bharata living in a hermitage wearing black skin of antelope, emaciated, piteous, not clean, without any cleaning of the body, affected by the separation from brother living on fruits and roots, subdued practicing austerities, following righteous practices disciplined, soul purified by meditation, like Brahmarshi in brilliance, placing your sandals on ground ruling the earth, all the four divisions free from fear on all sides, protecting the upright, ministers, priests, united with chiefs of army stood there' (reported Hanuman).
नहितेराजपुत्रंतंचीरकृष्णाजिनाम्बरम् ।।6.128.34।।

परिभोक्तुंव्यवस्यन्तिपौरावैधर्मवत्सलाः ।


धर्मवत्सलाः lovers of virtues, तेपौराः those citizens, चीरकृष्णाजिनाम्बरम् wore bark of trees and skin of antelope, राजपुत्रम् prince, तम् them, परिभोक्तुम् to enjoy luxuries, न व्यवस्यन्तिहि not inclined for pleasures

The citizens (of Ayodhya) who were lovers of virtues did not enjoy any luxuries, not inclined for pleasures as the prince himself was wearing bark of trees and skin of antelope.
तम्धर्ममिवधर्मज्ञंदेहवन्तमिवापरम् ।।6.128.35।।

उवाचप्राञ्जलिर्वाक्यंहनूमान्मारुतात्मजः ।


मारुतात्मजः Maruti's son, हनुमान् Hanuman, धर्मज्ञम् righteous, देहवन्तम् body of dharma, अपरम् supreme, धर्ममिव dharma like, तम् him, प्राञ्जलिः offered salutations, वाक्यम् these words, उवाच spoke

Maruti's son Hanuman offered salutations to Bharata who was seen like a supreme body of dharma itself as if he was another form of dharma.
वसन्तंदण्डकारण्येयंत्वंचीरजटाधरम् ।।6.128.36।।

अनुशोचसिकाकुत्स्थं स त्वांकौशलमब्रवीत् ।


दण्डकारण्ये at Dandakaranya, वसन्तम् living, चीरजटाधरम् wearing bark of trees and with matted hair, यम् him, काकुत्स्थम् Kakuthsa, अनुशोचसि you are worrying, सः he, त्वाम् you, कौशलम् welfare, अब्रवीत् sent to tell

"That Kakuthsa for whom you are worrying and living as he was at Dandaka forest with bark tree fabric, and matted hair sent me to tell you about his welfare."
प्रियमाख्यामितेदेवशोकंत्यजसुदारुणम् ।।6.128.37।।

अस्मिन्मुहूर्तेभ्रात्रात्वंरामेणसहसङ्गतः ।


देव O god, ते you, प्रियम् pleasant, आख्यामि will tell, सुदारुणम् terrible, शोकम् grief, त्यज give up, अस्मिन् your, मुहूर्ते moment, त्वम् your, भ्रात्रा brother, रामेण Rama and सह with, सङ्गतः reunited

"O God! I will tell you some pleasant news. Give up that terrible grief. You will be reunited with your brother this moment."
निहत्यरावणंरामःप्रतिलभ्य च मैथिलीम् ।।6.128.38।।

उपयातिसमृद्धार्थःसहमित्रैर्महाबलैः ।


रामः Rama, रावणम् Ravana, निहत्य killed, मैथिलीम्Mythili, प्रतिलभ्य recovered, समृद्धार्थः having accomplished the purpose, महाबलैः mighty, मित्रैःसह with friends, उपयाति coming

"Rama killed Ravana and recovered Mythili. He, having accomplished the purpose, is coming with his mighty friends."
लक्ष्मणश्चमहातेजावैदेही च यशस्विनी ।।6.128.39।।

सीतासमग्रारामेणमहेन्द्रेणशचीयथा ।


महातेजाः endowed with extraordinary energy, लक्ष्मणश्च Lakshmana's, यशस्विनी illustrious, रामेण by Rama, समग्रा, सीता Sita, महेन्द्रेण by Mahendra, शचीयथा like Sachi

"Lakshmana who is endowed with extraordinary energy, and illustrious Sita accompanied by Rama will be coming as Sachi with Mahendra."
एवमुक्तोहनुमताभरतःकैकयीसुतः ।।6.128.40।।

पपातसहसाहृष्टोहर्षान्मोहमुपागमत् ।


हनुमता Hanuman, एवम् in that way, उक्तःsaid, कैकयीसुतःson of Kaikeyi, भरतः Bharata, हृष्टः delighted, सहसा instantly, भूमौ on the ground, पपात fell, हर्षात् in extreme joy, मोहम् lost senses, उपागमत् overtaken by

Hanuman having said that, the son of Kaikeyi was delighted and instantly fell on ground and lost senses by extreme joy.
ततोमुहूर्तादुत्थायप्रत्याश्वस्य च राघवः ।।6.128.41।।

हनूमन्तमुवाचेदंभरतःप्रियवादिनम् ।


ततः then, राघवः Raghava, भरतः Bharata, मुहूर्तात् in a moment, उत्थाय got up, प्रत्याश्वस्य च in person, प्रियवादिनम् sweet in speech, हनूमन्तम् Hanuman, इदम् thus, उवाच spoke

Bharata got up in a moment and saw Hanuman, who is sweet in speech said this.
अशोकजैःप्रीतिमयैःकपिमालिङ्ग्यसम्भ्रमात् ।।6.128.42।।

सिषेचभरतःश्रीमान्विपुलैरश्रुबिन्धुभिः ।


श्रीमान् glorious, भरतः Bharata, कपिम् monkey, सम्भ्रमात् overwhelmed, आलिङ्ग्य embraced, अशोकजैः born of joy, प्रीतिमयैः affectionately, विपुलैः copious, अश्रुबिन्दुभिः tears of joy, सिषेच shed

Glorious Bharata was overwhelmed with joy and embraced Hanuman and copious tears of joy born of joy.
देवोवामानुषोवात्वमनुक्रोशादिहागतः ।।6.128.43।।

प्रियाख्यानस्यतेसौम्यददामिब्रुवतःप्रियम् ।

गवांशतसहस्रं च ग्रामाणां च शतंपरम् ।।6.128.44।।

सकुण्डलाश्शुभाचाराभार्याःकन्यास्तुषोडश ।

हेमवर्णास्सुनासोरूश्शशिसौम्याननाःस्त्रियः ।।6.128.45।।

सर्वाभरणसम्पन्नास्सम्पन्नाःकुलजातिभिः ।


सौम्य gentle, अनुक्रोशात् with great compassion, इह here, आगतः come, त्वम् you, देवोवा god or, मानुषोवा human, प्रियम् happiness, ब्रुवतः spoke, ते you, प्रियाख्यानस्य for the sweet tidings, गवाम्cows, शतसहस्रं च hundred thousand, परम् best, ग्रामाणाम् villages, शतम् hundred, सकुण्डलाः earrings, शुभाचाराः of good conduct, षोडश sixteen, कन्याः virgin women, भार्याः as wives, हेमवर्णाः golden complexioned, सुनासोरूः shapely nose and thighs, शशिसौम्याननाः face like full moon, सर्वाभरणसम्पन्नाः decked with all kinds of ornaments, कुलजातिभिः of good race, सम्पन्नाः rich, स्त्रियः women, ददामि will bestow

"O Gentle Hanuman! You have come here with great compassion. Are you God or a human being? For the sweet tidings brought by you to me, I will bestow a hundred thousand cows, hundred best villages, sixteen virgin women of good conduct as wives with earrings, with shapely noses, full moon like face, golden complexioned, decked with ornaments and rich women."
निशम्यरामागमनंनृपात्मजःकपिप्रवीरस्यतदाद्भुतोपमम् ।

प्रहर्षितोरामदिदृक्ष्याऽभवत्पुनश्चहर्षादिदमब्रवीद्वचः ।।6.128.46।।


नृपात्मजः prince, तदा then, अद्भुतोपमम् amazing, रामागमनम् return of Rama, कपिप्रवीरस्य monkey leader, निशम्य ecstatic, रामदिदृक्ष्या will be able to see Rama, प्रहर्षतः highly excited, अभवत् became, पुनश्च again, हर्षात् delightfully, इदम् this, वचः words, अब्रवीत् said

Prince Bharata became ecstatic on hearing from the monkey leader about the return of Rama and that he will be able to see Rama again. With great delight he spoke to Hanuman.
